Yes my parents have something to do with it because they did raise my with many of the beliefs I still hold today. As I've grown I've searched for my own answers and have come to many of the same conclusions I was taught as a child.

For the most part I believe in God because I think this world is entirely to complex to not have been designed, also because I have something inside me that tells me what's wrong and right, independent of a creator this moral compass in many cases would seem very arbitrary.

When I was 12yrs old, we were in church and I heard the preacher preaching about Salvation, at that time I was not to much caring about God or anything to do with Him but, on that particular day, I knew I had to know Him. As I was sitting there, there was this "tugging", if you will, in my heart telling me that it was imparative that I go to the alter and be saved. He was preaching about the Lord, I was a child my family really did not say much about Him but, that moment I knew even thought I can't "see" Him or "hear" Him, He exist. I could not shake that feeling. On that very day I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, it has not been easy but, I won't give up, I would rather die than to turn back from Christ, that is my Saving Power, Jesus is. I encourage anyone else to get to know Him if you don't. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you and He will in such a way that (you) won' be able to deny that He is real.

Originally taught the concept of God and the basics by parents, studied details of Catholic faith for 12 years of school, strayed away for several years, begged for God's help and forgiveness after a few bad experiences, strayed away again but not so far out of fear of eternal damnation and finally, recently, came back after an incredible spiritual experience that has altered the direction of my life, explained why my life has gone in the direction that it has and gave me a renewed reason for being.

Simply put, I am now a non-denomination, non-fundamentalist Christian fueled simply by the power in the beauty of the Grace of God of which I have been awed and humbled by.

Peace,

AAD

Yes I do really believe in God. Because He revealed Himself to me as a young person. I was sent to catholic school and church as a child. I drifted away. I visited a baptist church when I was a teen and realized that I was a sinner, I prayed the sinner's prayer but did not begin to live for God at that time. As a young adult I used to say, " There is no God." I was a fool. The fool says in his heart " there is no God."
At the age of 21 God began to really draw me. He showed me that I was not able to find happiness in anything the world had to offer me. As I opened my heart to God, He cleansed me and gave me a new beginning. I embraced a new way of living and have never wanted to turn back. No, it has not been easy. There have been many rough spots in the road I have traveled. But, I know that God is with me and will never leave me. He has promised to take care of me. He has plans for me that are for my good and His glory.

In one of the stupidest acts I have ever done, I dug deeply into the Occult for 5 years.

Ok, here's my story in a nutshell.

I became deeply demon-possessed to the point of where people said that they would look into my eyes, and see a malevolent intelligence looking back at them, something they sensed wasn't human. Weird events happened around me that frightened people who saw them.

The demons within me were strong enough that people could feel me coming through closed doors, as an aura of intense evil preceded me.

After I became a Christian, I was frequently attacked by demonic entities, and I wasn't the only one who saw them. In a few cases, they appeared in other rooms close by after I had cast them out in Jesus' name, badly scaring those who saw them.

So, through actual experience I have discovered that what the Bible says about God and Satan are 100% correct.

I believe i was a seeker all my life, learning many things but never "knowing" what or where the real truth was, then one day truth spoke to me saying "I AM waiting for you" and i knew that i knew that i knew that Jesus Christ was Lord and that He exists that He is real and that He lives and is ever-present. He always was always is and always will be. ALLELUIA! He is the Way and the Truth and the Life and NO MAN will come to ABBA, FATHER except through HIM.
i will pray that this will be revealed to you!
Shalom

Yes, I believe in God.
I believe because I see the truth of the Bible everywhere. Creation itself is a testament to the Creator. I believe because I see people, dead in their sins, and Christ transforms them. It's amazing. I believe because the Scriptures speak truth, there is no fallacy in them. Lastly, I believe because Christ has allowed me to.

Why do you believe or disbelieve what you do? Some teacher get into your head? A friend? Be honest.
