Yes, the flying ant could have been the source. If it was stuck in your sheets and you touched it, it would have bitten you in defense.
Solution # 2 would be a very small baby spider hiding in your sheets or under your bed. Their bites are small, but if you have an allergy or sensitivity, it could be drastic.
Two things work on these bites. One is heat applied to the bites to reduce the swelling. If you have a gel pack or something, heat it up and put it on those bites. (You can heat up a damp washcloth in the microwave for an emergency heat pac and it will work.)
The second is to rub in some Benadryl cream for the itching. Spider, ant, and black fly bites take longer to heal, so expect the bites to hang around for a few days.
Hope they heal soon.

Those sound like mosquito bites, not ant bites
For bites, try the following:
*ice applied to mosquito bites soothes the skin and prevents swelling
*a paste of baking soda and water soothes the bite and prevents swelling; this is good for ant bites as well
*if you have any of the weed plantain (the broad-leaved kind) left in your garden, crumble and pulverize a leaf, and apply it to the bite (this is called a "poultice")
*eucalyptus or lavender oil, onions, and feverfew tea as above are also good on bites

yes it could be the source of your problem, as well as sand fleas, or fleas from pets. try washing your bedding in hot soapy water and spraying your mattress with some bed and funiture spray for fleas and other biting insects they sell at wal-mart and some grocery stores. good luck and best wishes.

in case you reside in an house interior the city and any of your acquaintances have ALOT of people in a million house, i could do away with the sheets and look on the mattress and notice if there are little brown/crimson spots if so its mattress bugs and not absolutely everyone gets bitten. they have made a significant comeback interior the States and surely in cities that have an inclination to have overcrowded residences, if so, then toss the mattress, wash all mattress clothing in warm water even colorations and call an exterminator and interior the recommend time use a air mattress on the floor there is not any the place for them to conceal interior of it....

Uh-oh. You either have bed bugs (yes, they are real) or fleas. You need to get a bug bomb and wash all your bedding in hot water.
