Why do people keep fooling themselfs..?
When deep inside they know fullwell that there is no such thing as heaven, or an after life for that mater.
Its no more than a brain wash since early childhood
thats all.
If they dare question the fact that if there is no heaven then it will be hell for them.
why let the churches do this to the young.
cant they tell them the real truth ..that the so called bible was written by men and not god...?

They won't listen to you... they never do. A happy delusion is still HAPPY so they stick with it. The sheeple.

I didn't become a Chrsitian until 2004. I am 32 now and did not live my life as a child or early adult anywhere near religion of any sort. My family are not religious and nor are almost all of my firends. I am intelligent and have a sound science and engineering base to my education. I am not gullible or deluded etc etc.
But I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and I know (not believe, but know) I will be going to heaven for my faith.
This arguement keeps coming back again and again, and the answers are always the same...perhaps people should start using the "Discover" button above before asking the same old questions again and again.

Heaven exists. I am extremely logical and intelligent. There are physicists who have written books stating that it is impossible for the universe to have come into existence without a cause (i.e. creator) I strayed from religion to find truth. Open minded. However, one needs to look around and see how everything works together so well in nature. yet, if man tried to emulate this he only falls flat. Its hard to imagine, but string theory has "magic" in its core, too. Please do some fact searching, and maybe you will find God too.
There are some things I believe religiously and some Im not sure of, but only one fact I have concluded, and that there is a creator. "life cannot come from non-life" so therefore where did it originate? However, I am not one to step on anyones beliefs, and I respect that we are all different. Good luck in your quest for the truth. sometimes it's better than we could've imagined.

I was always raised knowing that men wrote the Bible. It doesn't mean God didn't inspire them. The concept of heaven for me is not some sort of delusion that gets me through life. Much too frequently it seems far away. But the reality is, it is an actual place. It is more than the product of brainwashing. Your atheistic view refuses to accept any evidence to the contrary, so I don't think I can say anything to change your mind.

If you think there is no God, no Heaven or hell you better be right.
I would rather believe in Heaven and a loving forgiving God and be wrong. Than think there was no such thing and find out later that there is.
God is real and someday everyone will believe, if not in this life, then in the next one. Even you will believe someday. Darwin believes in God and Heaven and hell now.

If heaven didnt exist then there would be no God. I know that my God exist. For all those fools that believe otherwise there will be a time when they will come to realize the truth.

sorry but you are wrong, heaven is just part of the illusion fed to you by the church! the only way to see this, is through an open mind, no disrespect, but you can not have an open mind, because you are indoctrinated by the false word of the bible and the church!
religion is theory, someone elses theory. Emancipate the conscience and you will find enlightenment! Then you will realise that you don't need the church to find your God.
you are your conscience, Conscience is God!

I think heaven / hell ect is for people that struggle to understand that once we are dead then thats it we are worm food or turned into a nice cloud of gas and ash.
Its a romantic idea that we live on in a world full of happyness in heaven or go to the firey depths of hell.
if it helps people let them carry on but i dont think anyone has the right to push religion or lack of it onto anyone else as its a personal preference.
and hey when i die if i find out there is a heaven and hell im sure ill kick myself but right now im happy with my beliefs.

If that's truly how you feel and believe, then you certainly have the right to both believe it AND say it.
I, however, don't believe what you're trying to say. God is real in my life. I have accepted the covenant of the New Testament and I am secure in the knowledge that my eternal soul will enter the kingdom of heaven.
Yes, hell DOES exist. Just take a moment and look at the several times it's mentioned in the Word of God.

Heaven does exist. It's just the sky. Sometime around Galileo, they realized that gods don't live in the sky, and so they turned heaven into a metaphysical realm.
But if you read ancient works, it's clear ancient men were simply refering to the sky. That's why Elijah, Enoch, Jesus, Mary, and Muhhamed are all depicted as floating UP into heaven.
