of course. other people still use them because even though cellphones are one of the most useful communication gadgets, beepers and pagers is still useful. in the Philippines, a survey was made and there are still those who use them. and a reason was-they need it to alert their friend or relative to call them, especially in emergency. if their cellphones don't have load, they use pagers or beepers.

I haven't seen a beeper/pager in years. Most of the time, people just send blank text messages to "page" someone, now a days.

Yes. Many companies still require their personnel to carry them. They are much more efficient, faster and less expensive to operate.

Big companies give them employees PDA's which serve all purposes- you can be paged and you can also check your email etc. All investment bankers carry those.
