Has a Mormon family ever been on wife swap or trading spouses? I think it would be interesting.

Hahaha, Mormon Flanders! I'm so using that.

I don't see what the problem is. I'm assuming by the question he's talking about the Wife Swap show on TV. No sex goes on or anything. They dont even share a bed. The two women just go to live in the other's house for a week (or however long it is) and then they both come out being so appreciative for their own family, and usually each family walks away having learned something about tolerance, or sharing, or some other goody-good virtue.

Mormon's do not practice polygamy (marriage to multiple people). In the First Official Declaration (found between the end of the Doctorine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price) President Wilford Woodruft gave an address about this matter. Polygamy was illegal back in those days, and he said that by practicing polygamy, the Mormon church would fall apart because the sacred ordinances could not be performed in the temples. The temples would have had to have been taken down, and the leaders of the Church would be arrested.

Wow! I have never seen so many thumbs-down in my life for such a funny inncoent question! HELLO PEOPLE- HE MEANS THE TV SHOW- NO BED SHARING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!
I think it would be a great idea! In fact, im going to write the producers and tell them so...But the thing is, Mormons are generally very private and guarded. I'd be surprised if they got a true Mormon family to participate.

The Mormon family would end up converting the other family, on both ends, and then they would all be Mormons, sounds like a good idea.

Leona is totally wrong... exact opposite is true, Mormons are almost always willing to tell you what goes on in their lives. Bart is right on, I think it would be a good experience.

I wouldn't involve myself with such ignorant and pointless entertainment. What growth comes from such shows? If there is any, it can come just as easily through being close friends with the other family...

For the experience, however, I could see the benefit but it just isn't the best way to spend one's time. I'd imagine that would be a somewhat bland episode, anywho...

i think i can top that.
have my aunt & uncle (an extreme goodie-good mormons, basicly "mormon-flanders" as i call 'em) & spuose-swap with osbournes.

ozzy having to deal with the clean freak always has something nice to say
& sharon having to deal with a VERY dry & dull ret. air force doctor.

that should be quite interesting

That is so much against what they believe that even an antimormon like me would stand up and say that this is wrong.
