i don't quite understand this. in john 3:16 it states that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son to die for us. so that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish, but have eternal life." notice! it doesn't say "whosoever believeth in him and isn't gay or bi shall not perish..." i am aware that it does say in leviticus ch 18 "mankind lying with mankind is abomination." but explain if being gay or bi is a sin, why isn't one of the ten commandments "thou shalt not be gay or bi" yes i know james said "be not deceived no effeminate will make it into heaven. but i found out that part of deuteronomy was written a year before the holy books were put together. who's to say that other parts of the bible weren't written a year before that as well? how is love a sin? i know that God created adam and eve, not adam and steve. well DUH it's obvious that two men can't procriate and two woman can't either. but saying that love is about procriation is ridiculous.

saying love is about procreation is ridiculous. not all straight couples have children. look at betty white, she never had children and she's straight. how can you call yourselves christians if you preach hate? how can you say it doesn't matter if a gay person or a bi person believes in Jesus, since they're gay they're damned to hell even tho they believe in God? how are we sposed to get world peace when we treat homosexuality like slavery? and how are we sposed to get world peace when we keep discriminating? Jesus never said a word abotu homosexuality or bisexuality. most jews don't even worry about homosexuality, so why do christians worry about it. love is the most beautiful thing we have. and yes sex without marriage could be a sin, but how is that a gay persons fault when american won't legalize marriage?

Stop worrying and believing what other people say. God loves you and does not care whether you are gay or bi. Build your personal relationship with him/her. God Bless.

There are a lot of issues to address here. First a foremost anyone who hates Homosexuals is just as wrong from a biblical perspective ( if not more so) then Homosexuals.

The reason someone carefully interpreting the bible would say someone who is homosexual can't be saved would be the idea that the bible is clear that all sexual immorality is sinful ( sexual acts outside marriage between a single adult man and single adult woman) is sin. This includes homosexuality, if someone is truly saved they should at least exert effort to resist acts that are sinful this would include hetero sexual fornication as well as homosexuality..

As far as the 10 commandments, they are not the entire list of sins, they are the very first laws God gave the govrnmentless Israelites to live by.

Love is not about procreation but sex isn't all there is to love. It's perfectly appropriate love someone of the same gender but that doesn't mean you have to have sex with them. AS far as the bible is concerned sex outside marriage is a distortion of Gods intent for this activity. As with most sins despite what our heart and desires might tells us. We're better off in the long run doing it God's way and not on our own, and that's why it's a sin.

Being a homosexual is not accepting Jesus Christ because Christ hates sin. The Old and New Testament clearly state homosexuality as being sin.
John 3:16 is so widely misused. You must continue reading...context is key! Read on through verses 17-21.
John 3:20 says "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed."
You cannot be a homosexual and be a Christian. I'm sorry that's just the way it is. Homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of God.
Read 1 Corinthians 6:9. It states that "neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, (and the list goes on) shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Addition:
The Bible never says that homosexuals cannot be saved. Quite the contrary. It says a homosexual cannot inherit the kingdom of God. If a homosexual repents and trusts in Christ and becomes a true believer then they will turn away from the sin of homosexuality.

There's more to accepting Jesus than just giving assent to His death on the cross. It also requires a repentant heart. One that says I'm a sinner, but I'm not going to lead that lifestyle anymore. The change doesn't happen overnight, but the change must occur.

And both the Old and New Testaments make it clear the homosexual act is a sin. Period. You can't wiggle out of that one by saying some verse was written at an odd period of time. People who do not want to believe the bible will find all kinds of excuses why they shouldn't.

The "love" you speak of "eros" or sexual love was designed by God for one man and one woman in a covenant relationship. No exceptions.

If you are a Christian who has accepted Jesus and asked for forgiveness for your sins then you are saved and can not be lost. If this is the case how can you live in sin? Do you remember Sodom which God destroyed because of their wickedness? Sin left unrepentant in a persons life will be given control over that person. We all struggle with sin and if not for the grace of God none would be saved. Yes we are very much against sin but we don't want America to follow in the path of Sodom and be destroyed because we have all turned to evil. Yes abortion was a step in that direction and same sex marriages would be another step in the wrong direction. Are you like the kid at school who dared some one to step over the line? The stakes are way to high to not realize that God is a God of justice and He will do what it takes to get America back on the right path or see America destroyed.

I know whay John 3:16 says but, along with salvation comes obedience to His Word. You can't say that you are saved and not show any signs of that. Being saved means that you committ to God totally. It also means that no matter what you will do what God says. If a person is gay or bi, as you've mentioned and desires to be saved, you must come to God, He is the only one that can save you and help you to overcome that sinfulness. I am sorry, being homosexual is not justifible in God's eyes. Please stop looking for scriptures that will condone that behavior because they don't exist. Search Genesis to Revelation you will not find no scripture like that, please. God bless you. I hope that this helps you further. PLEASE GET AWAY FROM BELIEVING THAT!!

I am a Christian, but I still can't find any place in scripture where it says salvation comes from "accepting Jesus." I've read it in the various English translations, the original Greek, but nowhere do I find the apostles telling anyone to "accept Jesus as their personal savior" to be saved. So, man-made doctrines aside, I don't believe a person's sexual orientation is a factor in their salvation. Why? Because something else I didn't find in the original languages of scripture was any condemnation of homosexuality. Just my two cents, but as one who reads Hebrew and Greek, it does bug me when people put all their faith in flawed translations and in man-made doctrines.

Read Leviticus 18;22.Homosexuality is condemned here. You can read the whole of Leviticus chapter 18 and see other sinful acts of sexual behavior.Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of homosexuality.See also the book of Genesis :38.7-10.The son of Judah was killed for withdrawing sperms to prevent fertilization. It is the verse catholics use to oppose the use of condoms. It is the same sins which will make us be destroyed by God if we do not repent.Repent before it is too late.

You can be gay or bi and accept Jesus. You can be an adulterer and accept Jesus. You can be a murderer and accept Jesus. These are all sins. We all sin. There is no denying that. Nobody is perfect. The point is Jesus died for our sins. We are to repent of our sins. We are to strive not to committ sins. This is an impossible task because nobody is perfect. However, things like being gay, adultery and murder are things we can withhold from. Some say being gay is genetic, but not all gays are genetically bias. I honestly don't know how to view gays who are gay due to genetics. That is God's call. The point I am getting at is that we must repent of our sins in order to be saved. How do you repent of sin when you constantly live in sin (such as a gay couple or an individual in an adulterous affair)? You must give it up in order to repent. Sinners of the nature I mentioned can accept Jesus, but that does not mean He will forgive them of their sins because they have yet to repent of their sins.

John 3: 316 does not say about homosexuality, but Leviticus does. That was in the OLD testamint. I will tell u this: my father was gay,he " went" gay after I was born, so i don't have any answers there, but to my knowlege, being gay/bi, in no way forbids u from accepting jesus.

Non acceptence is not hate. God does not accept a excuse. Romans chapter 1. Talks about men and women having unnatural use of their bodies. Giving in to their wickedness and nakedness. God gave them over to their own conscience. Practicing the devices of their forefathers. Refusing to obey the word of God.
