I have been out of the Full time job scene for a little over 5 years as I decided to stay home with my daughter after she was born. I recently decided it was time to go back to work full time and upgraded my computer skills by taking courses.
I went for an interview, was offered and accepted a well paying postion as a Adminisrative Assistant for two VIP's of a Large Property Management Company. I start on Tues. and am nervous as Heck. Any suggestions, tips? Thanks in advance!

It's natural to be nervous :) but don't sweat it too much! You've worked before, and once you are back in the office, you'll find that it's like riding a bike - once you're back on, it's like you never stopped.

Congratulations on getting the job.

The biggest tips I can give you are these

1. Be yourself. That's who they hired.
2. Don't go in for office gossip.
3. Ask questions. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. Asking questions will get you on the right track.
4. Have confidence in yourself. Obviously the company does, since they hired you.
5. Take lots of notes while you're learning the ropes. Keep them on 4x6 index cards and file them in a box under the subjet. This will come in handy.
6. Eat breakfast before going into work the first day. If you don't, your stomach will be in knots.
7. Remember: If you think you can't do the job, you're right. And if you think you can, you're right too. It's all about attitude!

You go for it! And congratulations!

I worked at P&G for some years; had the prospect to sell to supervisor. (All different managers are available as recruits from good colleges). on an identical time because it did pay me a lot greater for some years, it improve into additionally a rationalization why I had to bypass away the business enterprise. There are far too many politics- belongings you do no longer could cope with as an administraive asst. in case you're being paid particularly much as a lot, i does no longer do it. in case you could have the money and it extremely is a healthy boost, it fairly is the only way i could evaluate it. i improve right into a single mom and had to decide for it. immediately I paintings for myself, which I certainly love; yet i don't have the protection I had at P&G.
