Hi Annie,

What is Paul's warning towards the grafted-in branches?

Branches broken off = the sons of Issac (Israel)...broken off because they rejected the Messiah.

Branches grafted on = the rest of the world (Gentiles). Responsibilities to not be arrogant or conceited...to "consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God"...that we should continue in his kindness or risk being also broken off.

To put it simply, that Gentile Christians need to remember that while Israel is an enemy of the message we are commanded to spread, that in God's time, all of Israel will be saved. In short, Christians who treat Jews with contempt or condemn them to hell are risking their own salvation!

The apostle Paul likens the congregation of the Jewish candidates naturally in line for the heavenly Kingdom to an olive tree with a definite number of branches attached to the tree trunk. Wild olive branches (people of the nations, Gentiles) were grafted in to replace “broken off” natural branches (Jews) because only a few accepted Christ, the majority failing. Thus the full God-ordained number is completed, in its final state being composed of Jews and Gentiles.

Broken branches means the sons of Isreal, and the grafted branches means the gentiles....Those who are the non believers are considered the broken branches..and those who believe are the grafted branches!

grafted branches-Gentiles
Not sure what you mean or asking about responsibilities >> go in peace..... God bless
To remember just why we were able to be grafted ? If they had not been first, and then rejected Jesus, we would not be were and who we are ?? and that when the time is right, they shall be grafted back in, we are not to boast or get prideful over their lose, for now, and our gain.......

It is long, I admit it, but it will answer your question better than ANY person can. I promise. If you read it, you'll "get it."

Annie is right. That's who they are. The responsibilities may be made clear in that chapter I gave you above.
