Do long distance relationships workout?

Question

Do they workout when you meet the person from an online video game. They fly out 3,000 miles to hang out for 6 days and then fly back home. Both are immature (28 and 24). The guy was posting "sexual" ads online prior to her coming out and proclaims he is a sex addict. He was also sleeping with somebody during the entire summer while "professing" his love for this online girl.

The online girl just got out of a bad and serious LTR and not even sure if they are fully broken up!

Will this thing last after she returns home or will it fall apart?

well, while i was visiting my family in Texas, I met this guy down there. we startd dating after awhile. Then eventually after 2 months of being with him I had to go back home... =(

But to this day we still talk everyday and we're still together. Plus we'll still be able to see each other 2-4 times a year. =)

I think that if the cemistry is really there, things will work out.

Um, it sounds like you're trying to talk someone else out of something by putting a negative spin on it.

Who knows? Flying 3000 miles is certainly no small thing; if he's willing to do that, he may well be serious.

Meeting on a video game is nothing to be ashamed of! I know married couples who did. I'd say it's better than meeting on a dating site or at a "meat market"!

I THINK IT WON'T LAST HARDLY ANY TIME. TWO PEOPLE BEING THAT FAR APART AND NOT REALLY KNOWING EACH OTHER PUTS A BIG DAMPER ON THINGS. A GIRL WILL ONLY WANT A COMPANTION TO COMFORTER HER WHEN SHE IS DOWN.
