I love to travel and I've wanted to be a stewardess for the longest time but I've realized thats not the best job to have if I want to have a family in a couple of years. Are there any jobs that would require me to travel but with a schedule? Does that make sense?

Since you asked this in the health care section, I would say that radiologic technologists (x-ray techs) can travel. They go on assignments that may be a few weeks at a time, for example. They pay an excellent rate plus cover housing, etc.

Depends on the type of travel you are thinking of. If you are thinking travel that is only 2 or 3 days a week a Sales job handling a large regional territory. But the travel isn't usually very predictable - which is not good for a family.

However, being a stewardess, or flight attandent would have a more regular travel schedule. And if you live in a city that has a "hub" you could be home for dinner every night if you planned your flights right. You can get better flights as you earn tenure with your company. So if you started attending now, by the time you have a family you may have earned a nice regular travel schedule.

Cruise lines have a medical staff on board, but usually you have to apply at their port headquarters, which is often overseas. Of course, if you get into any aspect of health care and then join the military you will travel. There are visiting nurses who go to patient's home, but that is usually in a limited geographic area. Then there are charitable and missionary organizations that send health care teams into underserved areas of the world.
