The Christian's who are here to win us over to their faith, do not want to beat us in verbal discussion. Their ultimate goal is not to win arguments, but to win souls.
The goal of a born again is to see God-haters fall in love with Jesus. But they do not understand, that I do not hate god at all, I simply do not believe in him. How can I fall in love with something that I do not believe exists?
faced with this argument, and not supplied with the tools to argue with, they panic. You see they can not run away, so they bury their heads in to the biblical sand, and believe that we do not exist. After swallowing half the mistakes in the bible, imagining that we are deluded fools is easier to swallow than the 'truth'.
Christians who read the Bible as a set of guidance notes, rather than a verbatim rule book, tend not to come here and preach to us, or try to convert us. They won't deny our exsistance - they would be happy if we found ou own way to God. We both know that is not going to happen, but respect each others viewpoint.

I am a Christian myself, and I find that sad that because atheists don't agree with their beliefs, that they deny their existence. Atheists are out there, and it is quite true.
But I have a question for you: You said -several- responses. Several implies about 2-5 or so, correct? You are stating that because of -several- out of -MANY- Christians deny Atheists' existence, I notice that you seem to be implying that this applies to the entire Christian population. Please don't make generalizations just because of several examples out of many, many others. Prove that ALL Christians do this, and I'll agree with you that it's true.
EDIT: My mistake then, and I apologize. You seemed to be implying "they" as in the majority.

Christians worship a book with talking snakes, trees, and donkeys (except they call them asses, yeah, a talking a**), unicorns, men coming back from the dead, and a god that says, "Thus saith the Lord God, Woe to the women that sew pillows.... Behold, I am against your pillows" (Ezekiel 13:18-20). Seriously. That's all in the bible. Of course Christians are all a little strange. Its just a matter of time before they go completely berserk.

"each time I see an atheist asking a troll question, posing as a Christian (continually a bigoted one), " or you purely choose for to think of that. using fact there are some very bigoted very idiotic persons on the Christian area. yet i assume that's much less complicated to easily call them atheist trolls. "and not the Christians." Uh huh. "his question would not even sound like what a Christian might say." i've got considered Christians spout the main hateful drivel which you are able to think of. human beings like NCWJ.

Funny yes
Surprising, no.
I learned from trying to reason with my mother, you cannot convince someone who is scared of death and of a make believe place (hell), to face the truth. I tried and tried and failed and failed.
It always comes back to one thing, "because the bible says so".
They live in fear everyday and cannot accept that some of us have come to terms with the fact that everyone dies. And that we only get one chance to live. And that when it is over, it is over.
As I tell my friends all the time, you cannot combat a lie with the truth. The liar continues to spread false words and your assertions to the contrary fall on deaf ears.
Peace

I'm Catholic but I know that being Atheist doesn't make you a bad person. Their is good and bad in every group.
I think what they mean is a person with a belief believes in that belief. An atheist believes in not believing.
Everybody believes in something even if it's not God or religion, could be science, nature, business something.

Well, they just want to feel their superiority, as usual.
A. By saying atheists actually believed (so call deep down inside), they are trying to say atheists are actually one of their kind, except being blinded by their imaginary official sin creator.
B. By doing so, they feel superior as they are the "enlightened" and "saved" ones, since all are their kind, they have accepted it earlier.
Weird :P.

I've noticed that for months. They claim we atheists all believe in God (deep down in our hearts), but feel like rebelling because we want to be on Satan's side.
:D
Well, of course! He throws the best barbecue parties down in Hell!
