ich-i
wusste-knew
ich-i
haette-shouldn't
meine-my
bibel-bible
nicht-not
vergessen-forget
sollen-have

leading to the sentence...
i knew i shouldn't have forgotten my bible...

haette is because the a has an "umlaut" meaning the two dots at the top. my computer can't show that so i have to type it as ae. just like the umlaut of o, i will have to type it as oe or umlaut of u, i have to type that ue..

hope i was able to help...

I assume bible is meant as an actual book which someone forgot to bring along and bible is not used as a metaphor for what it contains.

The ^ means that the A needs an Umlaut (pair of dots) which my keyboard can't make.
