Eh, I smoked nothing happened.

But it can lead to infection, AND smoking ANYTHING depleates oxygen in the blood, amoung other things, and makes it longer for any wound to heal.

The reason that you should not smoke is because you don't want to get a dry socket. A dry socket is when the blood that has clotted in the extraction site is removed and the bone is exposed which will cause major pain and you will not heal as fast as you should. You could also get an infection. You really should not smoke. The pain from a dry socket or an infection is really bad and that is not something that you would want to go through.

You should be alright. It won't matter if you go to the doctors. The fundamental right to privacy, guaranteed by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, protects against unwarranted invasions of privacy by federal or state entities, or arms thereof, you could tell YOUR doctor you're high, you killed someone, or you've been having sex with your cat, they can't say anything to anyone. Just try and make sure you're not high when you go in, because it may affect the anesthesia. Id say don't smoke a day before the procedure.

Dry Socket, OUCH! if you must smoke you can avoid this if you cut most of the filter off and don't draw very hard on the cig. It comes from sucking the blood clot out of the hole where your tooth used to be exposing some very sensitive nerve endings

Your gum will get infected by the chemicals in the cigarette. If you do smoke once you're finish with your smoke take a teaspoon of peroxide and mix it with water and rinse your mouth, but I suggest you not to smoke unless you want to.

your not suppose to smoke or drink from a stray after getting your tooth pulled because you'll suck the blood clot out of the hole and it needs to stay there until it heals underneath or you get dry socket, your nerve endings exposed and it hurts very very bad.

YOU HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF LOSING THE HEALING BLOOD CLOT AND THIS WILL CAUSE A VERY PAINFUL "DRY SOCKET."
