They aren't going to rally around him. Not a chance.

And neither party will / should claim moral superiority.

What does this have to do with immigration though?

Not sure what this question is doing in immigration.

I have heard that Senator Craig is thinking about trying to withdraw his plea. There is no guarantee that a court will let him withdraw his plea. I have yet to hear a good legal reason why a court should let him withdraw his plea.

In any case, the Republican Party will not rally around him. Enough information has come out to make those paragons of virtue like Senator Vitter not want to be associated with Senator Craig anymore.

Sen Craig is finished I do not think any party would stand by him now. As far as the party with moral values ..good point. I am so sick of hearing that the Republican party is the only moral party. Here lately all their secrets have been coming out of the closet so to speak. LOL. Sen Craig, Mark Foley, Sen Vitter, etc. Most republicans say that one of their biggest concerns is the morals of our country yet they seem to ignore the leaders of their own party.

Now that Senator Craig is withdrawing his guilty plea do you think anybody will ever shut up about Senator Craig? It's not like anyone knew who he was before the gay sex thing.

Neither is the party of moral values i.e. Kennedy both Ted & John F., Condit, Clinton & etc for Democrats with Craig, Thomas & Livingston & etc. for Republicans.
Democrats are 2 presidents ahead on adulterers while in office.
Politicans are not good moral examples for anyone. However, as long as we criticize & tear our politicans to shreds no good guys want to run. We are reaping what we sow.

Most Conservatives do not care about criminals, they only become an issue if they get caught,!!
They accepted the apology's of the Evangelical ministers and they would probably forget His trespasses. That's the Grand Old Party.

They are throwing him under the bus...where he belongs. His BS statement that he "INTENDS" to quit pissed off most republicans.

As for your last statement. The republicans are throwing out their trash...what do the dems do with theirs??? Re-elect them time and time again. So, party of moral values? REPUBLICAN!
