To say Iran has plans to develop nuclear weapons just because they want nuclear power plants is not enough. If our top officials are going to declare war on that premise, it would have to include many other countries who are currently developing their nuclear programs. A false-flag attack is a more concrete way to get permission to go to war against Iran. With FOX's recent vilification of Iran, it seems at least a certain percentage of Americans would believe the false-flag attack was perpetrated by Iran. Military people I chat with are talking about it as if it is already planned, saying they are 'ready to go kill the Taliban', and one man said '...now it's off to Iran!' If an attack on America or even elsewhere is perpetrated to go to war with Iran, I feel we will be helpless to stop this savage monster from killing the men, women, and children of Iran, a repeat of Iraq, where the hidden number of dead is actually around 655,000, not 70,000, 2.2 million are gone or missing in Iraq.

First of all I am 100% American. 12 th Generation and DAR.
Second, I should have put 50 links here for you guys to all get educated. I note that you do not place any refuting links, as there are none.
Third, I am not 'supporting' a leader of another country. I am supporting the way of peace in the world to assure a future for my children and grandchildren.
Fourth, there was no evidence of WMDs or nuclear weapons in Iraq, so why are you going to let them snow you again? Or are you just mongering the war so you'll feel all tough inside? Do some reading, and learn about your world. 9-11 was a false-flag attack. So was the Maine in 1898, to go to war with Spain, for another. I could list more, but it would hurt your brains. These guys are the experts at going to war for economic gain and political acquisition of assets. Want to give me some links to show otherwise? It is forbidden to call anyone the 'T' word here, but that's just what I think you guys are.

Nic-No,I wouldn't say I was 'privy' to anything, and yes I do get information from the internet. My question must have offended you, the way you answered it. I see you have no refuting links, and FOX news does not count as a source of information. Neither does Bill O'Reilly. You did not follow the forum's basic answering method, all you did was troll me. If you have an answer to give to my question. let's see it.
The links for information about 'false-flag' attacks would take up pages and pages of Yahoo! Questions. I think if you googled that phrase, you'd get plenty from official sources. At least I don't ask questions like "Is pink lipstick okay at a fundraiser?"

And Army mom, I do support our troops and have family IN IRAQ. So don't jump to conclusions and get all up on your high horse. I want them ALL to come home, and stop this bloody, merciless killing. Isn't that what YOU Want?

I'd say it's a possibility because there's certainly quite a bit of tension right now. Also, it seems the media is 'gearing up' for war (again) and we don't have an administration that is strong on diplomacy. As you said, there are enough links to fill pages, here are a few that have stood out to me:
-- Cheney Pushes Bush to Act on Iran
"The source also said Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney did not trust any potential successors in the White House, Republican or Democrat, to deal with Iran decisively."

-- As Cheney Pushes Bush to Attack Iran, U.S. and Iranian Activists Call for Peace
Sen. Lieberman has supported censure and a possible US military strike on Iran.

-- I don't watch FOX news, but got an email a couple weeks ago about a new video that compares the similiarities between FOX news items about Iraq prior to the invasion and recent FOX news items about Iran.

-- False Flag Terrorism
Historical "False Flag" incidents, Iran, links to many other sources.

Or maybe we'll be hearing soon that the latest bin Laden video proves he's in Iran (again) and the Bush administration wants to go after him (again).

I really wish you libs had not heard the phrase "false flag". It must have been used on a lib website, because that's all you've been saying for the past month or so.
Nazi germany used a "false flag" tactic to justify invading Poland. Several SS troops attacked a radio station on the Polish/German border and it was claimed that the Poles had crossed the border, which gave Hitler some justification for invading.
I challenge you to find a single instance when the US used false flag tactics to justify attacking or invading another country. Some might disagree with the causes of going to war, but I don't think there was an instance where the US used those tactics. And don't use the Gulf of Tonkin. That was not a false flag action--there may have been confusion as to whether the US was actually attacked, but the US did not use their own troops under the NV flag to justify an attack.

The American people are pretty gullible where international politics is concerned, and the Bush administration would really like to take over Iran and link it with Iraq and Afghanistan under the US flag.
On the other hand, no one is really proposing we stay in Iraq, and we may need Iranian and Syrian cooperation to help keep peace when we leave, so maybe a deal will be cut.

None of those middle east pest-holes is worth a single American life. I'll say what I've been saying for the last 40 years with regards to nut bag Islamists: Kill 'em all and let Allah sort 'em out!
They cannot be trusted, any of them. Their biggest problem is that they've been envious of the U.S., with its wealth, power, and prestige, and it just annoys the crap out them that they will never have what we have, so they want to tear us down to their level.
Yes, the U.S. has made stupid, boneheaded decisions regarding the Middle East. We have often stepped in where we should not have. But to allow Iran to build nuclear weapons or to sell materials & technology to anyone is lunacy. The Iranians are incapable of thinking rationally about much of anything, and if they won't pull their heads out of their butts we may just have to stomp a mudhole in their ***.
Sure, it will just be another case of winning the war and losing the peace, but there will never be peace in the Middle East in any case, so it's no big loss.

Wake up whitewing ! You are only telling half the story about Iran. You fail to mention the fact that Iran is the perpetrator behind most of the evil in the middle east. It is Iran that backed Hezbollah in 1983, when it sent a suicide bomber crashing through Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 of our young Marines.
It is Iran and Syria that supplies Hezbollah today, as well as Hamas, to keep up the fight against Israel and the democratically elected government of Lebanon.
It is Iran that feeds supplies to the Taliban, so they can spread their fanatical form of Islam throughout Pakistan and Afghanistan.
It is Iran that sends bombs and bombers to the insurgency in Iraq, to kill innocent Iraqi's on a daily basis, along with American troops.
Now, it's Iran that wants nuclear weapons with which to confront Israel. These words were spoken by the hideous fanatics himself, Ahmadinejad.
Fool, it's Iran that is doing the attacking, and it is the US that must destroy it's ability to continue it's evil ways, in the name of Islam !

Iran would have to do something extremely stupid, and blantantly provoke warfare for something even remotely like that to happen.
No false flag, or rose of patriotism would even have a shot of generating enough support for the Bush administartion. He has lost so much of the public trust, and support from the Senate and Congress, even remodeling a room in the white house would be an uphill battle.

the US gov has for years wanted revenge for Iran's actions of our diplomats in 1979.
Especially now, we have very good evidence of Iran's meddling in Iraq, (IEDs, EFPs, Training and money provided to Militiamen).....The US can't sit back and let this continue.
Many of our fallen Soldiers have died due to the IEDs and EFPs provided by Iran.
Iran can deny all they want about how they're not involved with the materials and meddling and how they're nuclear weapons program isn't for bomb making, but the whole world knows they're lying. Their administration has repeatedly called for Israel's destruction and to be "wiped off the map"
bottom line is....we can't sit back and let Iran get nukes. it'll be too late. Iran insists on continuing its nuclear program...sanctions won't stop them.......military action will have to be taken.

What country are you from??? You actually believe a country that openly admits it hates us & kidnapped our citizens in our embassy for months because of a Democrat President & people with your beliefs. Iran has wanted & tried to build nuclear weapons. They have tried to destroy the USA several times in past but we should hold hands & turn our heads while they build the weapons to destroy our way of life. You are a true Democrat & that is no compliment to you or the Democratic Party.
Your freedoms are protected by the very people you criticize & for the 1st time I realize your freedom is not worth protecting but mine is.

Why are you defending the leader of a country who publicly announces he wants to destroy other nations off the map?
Iran was offered enriched uranium, at no cost, for power uses and refused. They want to enrich it themselves. Are you really that naive?
And what makes you think you are privy to the "actual death numbers" in Iraq, and no one else is? Who is your source? DId you read it on a website somewhere?
