The dividing line is getting clearer - distinguishing the Ego seekers from the Truth seekers and they can be defined by the very answer you gave to this Question. Maybe it's a good time to have a real look at your own reflection ?
Your answers is your confession of who you are and becoming more and more each passing day.
As a man speaketh , so is he!

James B, by your quotation every one who judged the best answer to their question; including you are GUILTY!
You are a contradiction to your own statement, right ?

lifeonloan, It's true! often times the one answers with the most thumbs down by the Atheists and those who believes lies as truth are in fact the BEST Answers. So it pays to look out for such answers . They are very educational indeed! I wonder what will the atheists think about that since the cat is out of the bag ?

When people ask a question on here they tend to just want to hear the answers they want, paticularly, no offense people but paticularly in the religion section or anything thats more opinion than facts. lol I've answered questions and gotten so many thumbs downs its ridiculous because people don't want to hear what i say sometimes so they deny it and honestly I don't care if you ask a question and want an answer what good does it do me (honestly) to answer to make them happy. Truth these days is a forgotten relic amoung some people and everyone gets caught up in whether the people they'll probably never meet (let alone know) like them or not and being the top answerer or something. So in answer to your somewhat confusing "question" I go for truth (or what I consider to be the truth) and if you don't like what I say I honestly don't care.
And i would put money on the table right now saying people are gonna rate this answer bad because they'll DENY that they just want their answers so do your worst people! lol
~edit~
woot first answer on second page! lol

Ok so your response to James B. would make you guilty too if you pick a best answer or even vote on a best answer....hell giving a thumbs up would make you guilty! Everyone has a perception of truth that is a little different and EVERYONE has an opinion of whether something is true or false and most people make their opinions known so everyones guilty?

I say what I believe to be the truth or what I hope to be the truth..
You can get a best answer for having the worst unrelated to the subject answer, so it is not always the best and most thought out answer that gets the 10 points...
If it goes into voting, then it is determined solely by what the voters think, who can be of any religious faith or none...
Blessed Be... )O(

I think 2 best answers should be allowed. One for friends and one for honesty. A special way of marking them also so everyone will know which is which and know just how honest the person who asks the question is. That way you can vote for either or both in the finish. Social networking should become mortal sin at some point.

I don't come here to rack up points with "best answers"... If a person judges mine to be so, then, that is always nice, but, it is not essential for my happiness :)
I would rather speak honestly and truthfully then to make up an answer that will make someone "happy"...and I often point out a good answer from someone else...giving credit to where it is due... in this instance, I have to agree with Aussie_Witch ... regardless of Aussie's belief being different from mine, as people, we agree on this. :)
Peace be with you :)
***LOL Since I have to like and respect myself at the end of each day, I will not worry whether someone else cares about speaking truth or following rules or anything else and carry on as I feel is right. :)

I want to be acknowledged, I want to be a part of a group. I want to belong with people that like to argue about nothing and still have fun without getting too serious, since most questions that get answered aren't serious.
I like being opinionated, because I feel that I truly am, though in real life I get tongue tied and nervous about speaking my mind and offending people.
Here, I say: "WHAT THE HELL, I'LL SAY IT, and maybe earn a couple of points or 10 for the recognition as a pat on the back for being me."

Some of what I say is truth, some is opinion, advise or the wisdom from experience. Surely it reflects my character, and I value my character far more than "best answer". Sometimes the depth of the truth is best reflected in the "thumbs down" ratings!

I have no idea why I spend any time here answering questions.
In some self-centered way it gratifies me to see my own words posted. I seldom read the answers posted by others. And, I hardly even care how I am rated.
I guess I like looking in the mirror too. Oh, and viewing my own VLOGs.
It's all about me! And the rest of you are just here to read/view me.
I don't guess I get points or poise and character development.

If I told a lie you would be able to tell through this computer. My mom says that when I start to fib LIE shows up on my forehead, I'm so bad at it and can't keep a straight face if I know the answer to a joke being told.
But even if I could lie I have no reason to. God knows whats going on. That's enough reason to be truthful.

I always try to give the best answer.
(In R&S) The atheist will give thumbs down and report answers to religion (especially christianity).
They love to report questions on prayer.
I like the truth.

Well, so have the multi-million dollar corporations have found out by spending money on statistics and studies on what gets people to buy their product. You have to know what to say. That's why people hate those corporations and advertisements. They lie and deceive. No one wants to hear the truth. They want smartass replies to cheer them up or they want brown-noser answers. People who agree with them. However, that being said, iamacatholic2 has tons of correct answers because he/she actually researches them and diligently posts them with irrefutable arguments.
