Where can I find some dechlorinated water?

I want to buy some dechlorinated water, but the only thing I find is distilled water. Is dechlorinated water expensive? I know you can get a gallon of distilled for about a dollar. Where can I buy some dechlorinated water, because I never seem to find it?

Distilled isn't dechlorinated. Distilled simply means that the water has been purified through boiling. Dechlorinated means that it doesn't have any chlorine in it. So if you don't know, then now you know.

I think you're missing the point. I want some dechlorinated water. End of discussion. Either you can tell me where to get it or don't bother posting.

Boiling water IS NOT the same as distilling. Rohak1212 has the correct explanation of distillation. When you boil water you will dechlorinate it. Chlorine is a gas and will be driven out of the water during heating. You can also dechlorinate water by leaving it sit in an wide mouth, open container overnight.

Destilling is about a pure as you can get it. It's not just heating the water to a boil. It is completely boiling off the water into a gas, then cooling and condensing it into a different container. This process leaves all the impurities behind in the original container, or along the way in the condenser coil. The only way to get water more pure is to mix hydrogen and oxygen together and make it from scratch.

So if you're looking for something without chlorine, then distilled water will do it.

Cheapest method is to fill your own gallon bottle at the Glacier machines. It's only 25 cents, and you can find one outside of most main chain super markets, like Ralphs.
