is it just me or do LDSs seem to be on LSD?

only most of the ones i know and that is quite a few since i live in the heart of mormon town

Most likely it was wheat rust (Look it up) that Joseph Smith
and his co-hort's ate that led them to there disposition.
Wheat rust has much the same effect as LSD.
