SInce their days under Spanish rule, most Mexicans have traditionally been Catholics. But there has been a big increase in the numbers of Mexicans becoming evanglelical christians.

since Catholism was foisted upon the native people by spanish fascist conquerers I'd have to say Catholics .

They are almost exclusively catholic--Mexico is almost 90% catholic, after all.
