September 11th made me think of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness and why we need to protect those values. I also realized that you should live life to the fullest. Fear was something everyone had- but you have to control that natural fear otherwise it gives power to those who shouldn't have it. The major effect that day had on me was, I learned what Courage is.

I think it made a big impact on the united states as a whole... although i don't know anyone directly killed during the 9-11 or our military troops over-seas, it still hurts me and it has effected me to the point of depression. to think another human being would harm another human is unbelievable to me, but that is where God comes in, (if you believe, religion is a whole other issue) pray for the safety of your loved ones and your country, not all planes are going to crash or be hijacked, but talk to your dad about your concerns, this is a reminder to live each day as if it were your last with the people you love, never say a harsh word, never forget to say i love you and thank them for being a part of your life....

good luck sweety

I am sorry about your fears, but I also understand them and your dad will also. Talk to him and tell each other how much you mean to each other and love each other.
I lived in NY at the time and had and still do have a son in the military. I don't think I will ever forget that day, when the cowards came into our country and killed so many innocent people. I never before have been prejudice against any race, but since that day I am of the Muslims. I know they are not all bad, just like not all other races are bad, but I don't trust them and I don't accept them . I will someday have to answer for that, but it is how I feel.
There are a lot of people who live like Ostrich's and have there heads in the sand, blaming our president and others, but they didn't start this. The Muslims did and people like our police, fireman, service men and any others who fight for our freedom will continue to fight for us . Bless you...

Have you forgotten that George W Bush (the incompetent one) was president on 09-11-01

It made me realize that our country is not as big and safe as most people think we are and that we need to fight and protect ourselves not only for the present but the future. People like that can't be negotiated with. Anyone that can commit that kind of terrible act on innocent people is not someone that can be reasoned with. That's why it is good to have a strong brave army that will fight and protect our country and show them that we will not allow this to happen again.

It opened my eyes to the fact that mass media and government are complicit at making up stories and covering up the truth.

It woke this country up after 8 years of being stripped of our defenses and living in a "everyone loves us" hallucination during the Coward, I mean Clinton years.
