my friend bought a blue tooth in the electronics, and we were walking around the store after that, and she saw a pair of scissors that were allready opened, and she used them to open her bluetooth...well about 20 mins later theese 2 guys, and this girl, who looked to be somewhere between 20 and like 25 that we saw messing around by the electronics stopped her, one came up to her, and said that his "partner" saw her open the scissors, and use them, he was really mean to her, and said that wal-mart could not sell them...and blah blah blah ...and she said that they were allready open, and he took her reciept, and looked through the stuff she had allready bought, and told her he would not make her buy them.....i dont think that they were real, but she says he had a cop badge necklace on, ut i think it could have been fake...what do u think??

A lot of stores hire off duty Police Officers, but I'm sure you already know that. Security/Police do not wear fake ID.

Loss Prevention. and that was incredibly inappropriate for them to approach a customer like that. When I worked LP and at my store, if I was to do that, I would get my *** chewed out. The proper way to address that situation is to politely advise them to avoid using merchandise that has been opened on the floor, as it could pose a safety risk, or something like that. BUT I would not go through your stuff, as I have no basis for the search (from my old store's policy anyway.)

But wal mart does not have the greatest rep for customer service.

Most large retailers have loss prevention departments and store detectives. Next time, ask to see some ID.

Yes... walmart has a very LARGE undercover security team that goes around and makes sure no one shop lifts. some of them are cops, some of them arent. But they are all security.

Walmart security has all the cameras overhead that they need for shoplifters. If they had seen what they are accusing you of, there would have been no conversation about it. One thing about Walmart, they will not let you slide on shoplifting or stealing.

They are not cops but they can detain you until the cops do get there. They were lose prevention guards.
