Ok, first, this does not hurt.

The Dr performing the removal will lay you on the bed and ask you to turn your torso the other way so you can't see.

They will then apply a local anaesthetic to the mole by injection, THIS DOES NOT HURT!

Seconds later, they will then perform a test to see if you can feel the area, if you can, they will administer more anaesthetic to the area or wait a little longer. When they are satisfied you can not feel it, they will begin the procedure.

This is like a pen thing with a hot wire on the end that cuts out the mole NO PAIN! just sounds horrid and I did feel a little pulling but NO PAIN honest. The worse thing is a not very nice burning smell (tho I have a weak stomach with smells and managed to be okay with it)

Then they will apply some antiseptic and a plaster to the area, and bingo done! I had 2 cut off and in all, it took about 12 minutes from start to leaving the surgery.

I did feel a little queesy after for the rest of the day but that was only down to my mind thinking what had just gone on!

If you have had your ears pierced (or anything else) and you were okay, all will be well. I was queesy after my ears for same reason!

Best of all, I had no scars :) yipee!

I had several moles removed at one time - on my neck, arm, and nose (required stitches). Anyway, I was really nervous but it actually wasn't bad at all. The doctor will give you a teenie shot to deaden the area around the mole. The needle is very, very small so other than a slight prick and possibly a slight burning sensation, you really won't feel it. Once the area is numb, the doctor will cut off the mole. Once it's cut off, they will use a laser that will cauterize the area and then they will stick a band-aid on it and voila! you are done. It happens so fast that you don't even have time to be nervous. It's no big thing.
Good Luck!

well, first they numb the area (either with a numbing pad or a shot), Then she will cut out the mole with a scalpel knife, They zap out the extra stuff. The part kinda stings but it ok. She will put a band aid where the mole use to be and it should heal in about 2 weeks. You might have a scar but a white spot is better than a brown one. It's nothing to worry about. You should be fine.

This sounds as if it will be done by local anesthetic, numbed with medication like the dentist uses. The mole will then probable be cauterized ("burned off") with an electric knife but you won't feel it. Why didn't you ask the Dr. doing it? The Dr needs your consent before he/she does it so you will be required to sign a consent form before the procedure is done. This is usually done as an outpatient in a hospital's Day Surgery unit or sometimes in the Drs office depending on what equipment he/she may have in their office and what assistants he/she may have.

I had a couple removed from my back. They give you a local. Sometimes you feel a bit of pressure, but that's about it.
Now they may have to close the incision with a few stitches, but they usually use the kind that melts away.

Do not be scared. I have had several removed and it doesnt hurt one bit. They deaden it with a shot and zip it off with a laser. All you have to do is put your britches on and leave when it is over. Oh yeah, and pay the doc.
