I usually get aggervated when people tell you what you need to do instead of answering your question...but its an SKS for goodness sakes. not to mention you get what you pay for. if you need a hold-over go to wal-mart and buy like a 30 buck tasco (good luck with the mounting) save up some cash and buy a good scope. you'll be more accurate with a 500 dollar rifle and a 500 dollar scope than a 1000 dollar rifle and a 50 dollar scope.

Buy a cheap scope for the SKS, like an NC Star.

The SKS is a great gun, don't get me wrong, it's just that scoping one to me makes very little sense and from what I have seen and experienced, the products out there to mount them don't work that well.

The only good mounts are the ones that mount to the actual receiver by drilling and tapping holes. Or, the Scout style forward mounts that replace the rear sight assembly. Do not get one that is mounted on the receiver cover....they move and do not keep a true zero.

My advice is to get a sight set called Mojo sights......the people that shoot my SKS with them on it go out and buy them for themselves, they are that good. You can shoot 200 yards on target with these and the 7.62x39 don't do much past 200 yards anyway.

you can also try midway here is a link http://www.midwayusa.com/

as far as Simmons goes i like them i use some of them
just remember that you are buying a $50 scope they won't compare to a $200-$300 Leupold
