sure they can, in theory. But cops hook each other up, they don't give each other tickets. They save the tickets and the beatings for the average citizen.

yes they can.Technically even on duty although the odds of that would be even less than getting one off duty.

Tickets are never a must write. They are usually up to the discretion of the cop. Plenty of people get stopped who are let go and are not cops.

A big difference also is a cop is always a cop. So even off duty another cop views him as a equal. That leads to a hesitancy to arrest or issue tickets.

Cops can arrest another cop and they could get a ticket from each other.

Yes. In fact, some cops are more strict when they catch an off duty cop speeding or whatever.
It gives us all a bad name when a law enforcement officer can't be bothered to obey the laws he is sworn to uphold.

Absolutely. Especially in another state. Wisconsin State Police love to write other Police Officers.

Yes, happens all the time. Then, results in a visit to his superiors office for explanation. And can result in letters being placed in his/her personnel file.

under the law yes, but I don't think they would book a fellow cop.
