Sure! Go, by all means. Even if you don't have a Bible, go and listen. Christians really love those who are seeking God. I can't imagine that anyone will think less of you for "having lost touch" or for not owning a Bible. Someone might even loan you theirs.

You can get a Bible at most dollar stores, or, there should be a student outreach ministry where you can get a Bible nearby.
If you have a palm or smart phone you can download one at memoware.com or gutenberg.org
The reality is you can show up at a Bible study with nothing. I have done Bible study with a group in the nude, and I have been at Bible study with some Hardcore Baptists who though ankle high dresses were a little revealing. I hitch hiked around the country a bit and saw an awful lot.
The only thing you really need is a real love for God and a desire to do his work in this world.

Bibles are easy to come by. The main thing is pen and paper and your mind. Always ask questions on anything you do not understand and keep it up until you do. That is what it is for. Understand that whoever is conducting the study asked the same questions a short time ago an annoyingly! If they don't like your questions, then you are in the wrong bunch.

Absolutely, you should go!
...don't worry about all that other "stuff."
So what if you don't know passages well...?
So what if you don't know the words to the music they sing...?
You don't have to bring anything...except your self...and don't hesitate to ask questions...!
...If you REALLY want to bring something...then go to the bookstore and pick up "The Quest Study Bible":
http://www.amazon.com/Quest-Study-Bible-International-Version/dp/031092412X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3/002-9616751-0444019?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1189391697&sr=8-3
It is a great Bible...and has all sorts of notes and explanations on the side of the page. If nothing else, while you are studying a passage together, you can contribute by saying (for example): "Well...you know...I really don't know...but on the side of this study bible I bought it says this..."
NOT as a means of "looking smart", or aything like that...but it will provide a means for you to contribute...and often something very worthy to talk about. For it is a great study bible...ESPECIALLY for someone like you.
...and I was in the EXACT same position as you, at one point!
...and that Bible taught me a LOT.
God bless you!

If your bible study is with Jehovahs Witnesses then all you need is yourself and a desire to know God. Anything else such as bible etc they will give to you free, also you dont have to go anywhere they will come to you. If you have your own King James bible take that.
Good on you its the best thing you could do!!

A bible study is not just for the learned or mature, but equally for those who are biblically imature and want to learn. Bring a Bible, notebook, and pen to write what speaks to your heart. No Bible? Buy one, or I am sure your friend will loan you one.

well, at our Bible studies all we needed to bring was a Bible. and i'm sure if its ur first time going there, even if something else is needed they will not make u feel uncomfortable about it. if you dont have a Bible you can buy it at any book store, or recently i saw one at walmart, you might wanna check out that place.. or simply ask your friend if you can borrow one.

yes you should definitely go, I'm sure they'll have extra bibles or someone will let you read from theirs. bring a notebook so you could write the things that impact you so you could go back to them later and reflect.
i understand that you feel odd cause you don't know the passages neither do i but I'm learning and every time i go to church i learn something else.

They will probably provide a Bible if you don't have one. Definitely bring a notebook and pen in case you want to write some thoughts down. And maybe ask if they take turns providing a snack or not.
