The reason for the flood was to destroy all the wicked and nephilim who were the "sons of angels who had materialized and mated with the daughters of men". In other words, they were giants, and they were bad men, so this is when God destroyed the wicked in the earth with a flood, right?

Genesis chapters 7 & 8 tell us: The deluge came within the sixth hundredth year of Noah’s life and continued into his six hundred and first year of life. Chapter 6 goes on to tell us: “Now it came about that when men started to grow in numbers on the surface of the ground and daughters were born to them, then the sons of the true God began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose.

Observing marriage practiced among mankind, especially involving good-looking womenfolk, they let themselves go to desiring sex life on earth with women for themselves.

Later it is told in the book of Numbers: 13 that Moses sent out men to spy on the promised land and here is they reported back to Moses:

Finally at the end of forty days they returned from spying out the land. So they walked and came to Moses and Aaron and all the assembly of the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Pa´ran, at Ka´desh. And they came bringing back word to them and all the assembly and showing them the fruitage of the land. And they went on to report to him and say: “We entered into the land to which you sent us out, and it is indeed flowing with milk and honey, and this is its fruitage. Nevertheless, the facts are that the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the fortified cities are very great;

But the men who went up with him said: “We are not able to go up against the people, because they are stronger than we are.” ...."all the people are men of extraordinary size. And there we saw the Neph´i·lim, the sons of A´nak, who are from the Neph´i·lim.."

If God had killed the nephilim in the flood, how then do they appear again after the flood in Numbers 13, specifically verse 33?

They were killed off in the flood in Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, & Numbers..

Hoping someone can help me out here.

Correction: They were killed off in Genesis. The next books of the Bible are Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers.

ROSS: Jesus' time was in the New Testiment long after the flood of Noah, so you're way off and the thing about power brokers, etc., this has nothing to do with the nephilim in the OLD TESTIMENT.

Serious answerers only, please. Thank you.

NORTHSTAR: Great!---Because this is exactly what I was thinking but I was not sure. Where do you get your facts? This is what I assumed because not until centuries later did God finally hurl Satan the Devil and his demons out of heaven down to the earth, but they don't have as much power as they had when they resided in heaven.

I have always thought, hmmm, there must have been these same [or more] bad angels that continued mating with the "daughters of men in the earth" where these women gave birth to "giants of fame; nephilim" once more.

Does the Bible lend anymore details to this obvious point, or we should just apply common sense?

KITZ: I am sorry, but you are incorrect. Please read the Bible and do more research "about the truth", not legends, myths and other fairy tales, ok. I say this with love.

gatita_63109: Thank you for providing your post, but the only thing you added to what I already posted and have knowledge about is your accounts of Jude: 4 - 5.

What I have realized all along and that NORTHSTAR confirmed for me, was that there must have been more ungodly angels that again mated with "the daughters of men" producing more nephilim later on before they were cast out of the heavens, both Satan the Devil and all the corrupt angels, in 1914.

Thank you so much for your input!

Anthea: Thanks very much. That explains how then the term "nephilim" was even brought up again, by cowards or rather unfaithful spies.

So it appears that all the Nephilim were killed off in the flood and never resurfaced again. This is not so important a detail that I believe God wants us to continue focus on, so I will leave it at that. I wanted some answers because others had wondered about this matter also.

Most answers have been helpful. Thanks for all the answers.

Adam's Rib: No. You are incorrect. When the angels mated with the daughters in the earth, the human fleshly females, the offspring they bore was "GIANTS or NEPHILIM". That much has already been established.

The Nephilim were not angels that materialized as humans then went back to heaven. They were a offspring, the blend of the result of the angels who materialized and mated with human females; hence called Nephilim.

Angels materializing into human form + mating with daughters in the earth = Nephilim. Please be sure to get this fact down pact.

The Nephilim were destroyed in the flood. Perhaps you need to read Genesis, then you read Numbers 13 to see the lies the unfaithful spies told. It's all here right on this page. I cannot believe you posted what you just did in spite of the scriptures being quoted on this page that reveal something totally different. Read your Bible.

The ten spies who brought back to the Israelites in the wilderness a false report on the land of Canaan declared: “All the people whom we saw in the midst of it are men of extraordinary size. And there we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who are from the Nephilim; so that we became in our own eyes like grasshoppers, and the same way we became in their eyes.”
There were some large men in Canaan, as other scriptures show, but never except in this “bad report,” which was carefully couched in language designed to strike terror and cause panic among the Israelites, are they called Nephilim.—Nu 13:31-33; 14:36, 37.
Those of (Belonging to) Anak (probably meaning “Long-Necked, at is, of tall stature) were a race of people of extraordinary size who inhabited the mountainous regions of Canaan as well as some coastal areas, particularly in the S thereof. At one time three prominent men of the Anakim, that is, Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, resided at Hebron. (Nu 13:22)
They were not actually Nephilim, as reported by the cowardly spies, but were only unusually tall men.Two of the spies, Joshua and Caleb, were for entering the land, the latter saying, “We ought to go up and seize it; for we are quite able to do so.” But the ten defeatist spies remonstrated in terror and lack of faith.
Believing the report and for this gross lack of trust in God and his promises the Hebrews wandered 40 years in the wilderness until all the registered males (not including the Levites, who were not registered among the other Israelites for military duty; Nu 1:2, 3, 47) from 20 years old upward died off. Of the registered males, Joshua and Caleb alone were to enter the Promised Land, whereas the ten unfaithful spies were to die by a scourge from Jehovah.—Nu 14:27-38; compare Nu 26:65; 32:11, 12.

The Nephilim. the offspring of angels and women (Ge 6:4), had All perished in the Flood.

You are correct. However, there was nothing to prevent another group of fallen angels from doing the same thing again after the flood. That is what you saw in Numbers 13:33 when the spies Moses sent out came back and gave a bad report about giants in the promised land and caused the people to fear. Goliath and company were probably descendents of them. However, they were eventually killed off by King David and others are are extinct today.

Can't die out until the 2nd Coming.Just as God's angels can take human form temporarily to do God's work,in contrast,Satan's angels can do likewise. And if human blood is consumed they can retain so until the physical body dies. That's where you get the vampire legends you know. That also is what the Alien enigma is all about. The cow blood and human-alien hybrids. It is a part of these Last Days where literally the gates of Hell have been opened. There's much more fascinating historical works that back up my claims. You'll need to research it if interested.Very easy with the Internet. Was alot harder 20+ years ago.

Nephilim are supernatural beings, specifically the offspring of human women and “sons of God” (proposed to be fallen angels), who appear significantly in Genesis 6 and are mentioned also in other biblical texts and in some non-canonical Jewish writings. Others consider the Nephilim, in contrast, to be the offspring of human men descended from Seth and human women descended from Cain. Both interpretations say that the lustful breeding of the Nephilim was one of the provocations for Flood, which is also referred to as the Deluge

When men began to multiply on earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of heaven saw how beautiful the daughters of man were, and so they took for their wives as many of them as they chose. Then the LORD said: “My spirit shall not remain in man forever, since he is but flesh. His days shall comprise one hundred and twenty years.” At that time the Nephilim appeared on earth (as well as later), after the sons of heaven had intercourse with the daughters of man, who bore them sons. They were heroes of old, men of renown.[2] ”

Also, the phrase “(as well as later)” stated above is a reference to the Book of Numbers 13:33, how the Israelites likened the tall aborigines (“Anakim”) to the Nephilim, possibly due to seeing the “megalithic structures” of Canaan that appeared to have been built by a race of giants, whose superhuman strength was attributed to semi-divine origin.[3]

The Letter of Jude draws upon the statements set forth in Genesis, referring implicitly to the paternity of Nephilim as heavenly beings who came to earth and had sexual intercourse with women:[4]:
“ The angels too, who did not keep to their own domain but deserted their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains, in gloom, for the judgement of the great day. Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.[5]
