Ok...here's the way I understand it.....I'm 6'2 and can reach just over 8 with my feet on the ground...say 8'2". at 6'3" lets add a couple inches to your reach...say 8'4". that yould leave you with a 13" vertical. that's not too bad but you want to try to increase it still....a 24" vertical is not uncommon for a volleyball player.

I'm simply guessing, however I'd guess that during prime university membership ball the usual status vertical is round 18 or 19 inches with an method vertical at 22 or 23 inches. At the maximum phases the women' verticals are greater than 30 inches. Typically, regardless that, it is not the soar that is as principal as how prime you'll be able to contact. My guess is that the hitters gambling D-I usual a soar contact of among nine' 6" and nine' eight". The ladies at the Olympic crew all contact over 10'.

Yes, since the net is 7'4" tall you are 2 feet and 1 inch over the top. This is good. At 6'3" that makes it easier for you, since you are already tall, but if you really want to be a dominant player keep working. the higher you can get the better. This will allow you to get farther over the net for blocking and higher of a reach for hitting.

thats a 113in. vertical jump which is what most ppl. go by... and either your jumping off a tall chair or sombody lied about somthin cuz thats immpossible. i think the highest jump ever recorded for an NBA player was like 56in.
but if you can jump that high the you need to be paid for being amazing lol!! gl

Well its not all about height. There is timing, quickness and accuracy.Timing in your blocks, quickness in your footwork to be at the right place at the right time, you have to be able to shift from return defense to attack offense in a split second, which means being in right place at right time. And then the Accuracy of your attack spike. Is it placed right. Can you hit any place you want on the other side. Do you have court sense to know where you are and where the other teams defense is(especially if you can pick out where they are out of place.)All of these things can be crucial in just one volley. i can get someone 2 inches shorter than you and just as good as jump..and eat you up at the net, only from experience and teamwork. Keep that in mind.

I assume you mean 9 1/2 inches. Thats hardly a jump, but at your hight and the hight of women's net you might not need much more.
