GOD DID NOT CREATE STARS.
Stars form with in the universe, are always forming, just like the clouds.

Here is the picture of the cross on a church buidling
You will notice the halo really represents the sun, and its pattern around the four edges of the cross.
The cross being the seperation of the seaons. Interlinked at the middle to again to symbolize the unionship of it all.
Or you could just say there is no origin of the sign at all.
And deny it.

Thank you for the great link. Yes, the early cross was the most common symbol of the four elements--four arms representing Earth, Air, Fire & Water. Beyond that, there existed literally dozens of symbolic occurrences of these elements. The Pythagorean cycles of life, the Chinese Hong-Fan, the Jungian male & female rudiments, the QUADRANTS OF THE ZODIAC, & even the Muslims revered the four ancient elements, although in Islam, they were known as squares, clouds, lightning, & waves. The church branded four Illuminati scientists with the symbol of the cross to purge their sins.
One could assume from much in this section, (how did I get here? I avoid it!) that the symbols, etc., of Christianity are totally original, that there was "nothing" before, when for a fact, everything has been borrowed. The image of god is Zeus, the halo from the ancient Egyptian religion of sun worship, Holy Communion from the Aztecs, even the concept of Christ dying for our sins from the sacrifice of a young man to absolve the sins of his people, in the earliest tradition of the Quetzalcoatl.
Why, (she asked rhetorically), is it so essential for some to ignore the rich (& bloody!) fabric of history? Religions are not born from scratch; modern religion is an assimilated historical record of man's quest to understand the divine.
kitz>No Christian holidays? What is Christmas? (Christ was born in March.) Easter? Are you saying Christians don't observe these holidays?
Oh well.
Edit: If you can get past the cut & paste of evo2d on this question, quoted EXACTLY: Why did God formed the world?
posted in philosophy, someone here might be interested in the answer of Psychic Cat. I certainly was. I shall leave now, never to return. (I don't know or care how to do links, although I appreciate some of them!)

The Serpent- December 24th to 28th Your sign beyond the zodiac is Serpens, the Serpent, which is carried by the Serpent Bearer, Ophiuchus, the god of healing and medicine. The serpent was sacred to the Great Mother goddess and has been seen by most cultures as a symbol of rebirth and wisdom. The real origin of Scorpio's magnetic, charismatic gaze is, of course, the Serpent. You have your own values and are not easily deceived. At times, you may seem amoral, but for you the truth is more important than what others see as 'good' and 'bad'. Location - The stars of Serpens and Ophiuchus lie between Scorpio and Sagittarius near the zodiac band. Your Plant - Mistletoe. Your Jewel - Serpentine.

Well, hallelujah! Even the heavens foretold it...
Seriously, the cross is two lines intersecting. You think you're NOT gonna run across this in other places? The point is that Christians place special significance on the cross, not that it doesn't exist in other places. And some of the first people to recognize Christ were astrologers, at least according to tradition. Some Christians may get freaked out by "pagan origins" to Christian things, but the rest of us realize that truth is truth no matter where it comes from.
Peace to you.

A cross is a structure made by crossing two beams of wood. Jesus' cross is sometimes called a tree. The cross is used figuratively as a symbol for the gospel or good news.
Zodiac means circle of animals.
Very interesting

Also the 'staff of Life' held by BAAL, the 'resurrected' son god in the canaanite mythos. Many symbols though are kinda universal in use but not in concept.
The equal sided cross was one of the early symbols in many pagani traditions, not just the mediterranian groups that used the zodiac. Often times its was a symbol of 'balance' or 'harmony'.
Though with Christianity they elongate the souther pole, in some pagani traditions this would represent the element of FIRE. Creating an imbalance, creating an over abundance of passion, energy, and in some cases violence.

Since I connect via dial-up, I can't watch videos. Here's some info that doesn't require a high-speed connection:
The Origin of the Cross Symbol Used in Christianity
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/218795/the_origin_of_the_cross_symbol_used.html
Excerpt:
"The cross is used within the Christian faith and among the Christian sects. It is the most common symbol seen in, on, and around Christian churches all over the world. Since it pre-dates Christianity and has pagan beginnings, at least one church father of the 3rd century CE condemned its use."

God created the Heavens and everything there in. The Cross is the symbol of what Jesus was crucified on. In the days of Jesus the Cross was used to punish men who had committed crimes. Try again. There will be men, who will deny the truth. Always trying to find the right answer, but falls short from accepting the truth, by making up their own version. God created the stars, too.

Do you realize that the symbol of the cross comes from the joining of two pieces of wood together so it is easier to crucify someone. As in what the Romans did to many people.
Right, you keep telling yourself that but the † symbol is much much older then the zodiac. See any petroglyphs lately? I have.

The elongated christian cross is compared to a sword stuck blade first into the ground. The equal arm cross is a symbol of the meeting of the physical (horizontal) with the spiritual (vertical).
