ok, listen up......I know people and have friends who were blessed with a gift. I call it the dream gift because GOD allows them to interpret stuff about other people and warns them of the things they should be aware of in other peoples lives. My friend has dreams like this about people every night and she had a dream about my stepbrother and I. I asked her "what was it about" and she put on a look that obviously meant it wasn't too good. My bibble school teacher told her not to tell the dreams to other people and that it was between her and GOD and if she told anyone she would get in trouble with GOD.

What I don't understand is that.....if GOD allows them to see things about other people that might/will happen then.....Why would he punish them for telling someone about the dream and maybe trying to save that person frome hurt or pain?

This is an opinion orinated question and anybody with an opinion can answer this?

Your bible school teacher is incorrect. I have dreams about other people all the time and I tell them what God has shown me about them. And some people have listened and been blessed by it, while others have not listened and suffered for it. However, there is a case where God will show you something about someone, but only because He wants you to pray for them. That's when you should not tell them. For example, God showed me this man in my church was a pedaphile in my dream. Later that week he was exposed as a pedaphile. But it was not for me to tell him and run and tell everyone else. God will show you sensitive things about what people do in darkness because He can trust that information with that individual. If that individual abuses that trust, God will stop showing him sensitive things. So, it depends on what God is showing you. You have to use wisdom and pray for God's direction. But God will show other people dreams about you, because He has been already trying to reach you, but you will not listen. So He will send someone else to confirm what He has been trying to tell you along. And, if you don't listen, you will suffer for it.

Your teacher doesn't understand the gifts that god gives. She is jealous and feels that since god has not blessed her with the gift, than it must be bad or not true.
Your friend is human. While often her dreams are true or helpful, because she is human too
SOMETIMES DREAMS ARE JUST DREAMS. Both she and the person who the dreams are told too, need to pray God help with the interpretation of the dreams too.

How old is your friend? Well, the teacher should not have said this because prophecy is in the bible and it is not bad. If the Lord gave your friend the gift and she feels compelled to tell you or warn you then she should be able to share it with you. Sometimes these people with gifts NEED to tell someone, it may make her feel that she is not helping or feel bad that she did not warn the person. I think that teacher just didnt want to have to address this issue or maybe she felt that she wasn't educated enough so she said what she said.
Good luck

Maybe your teacher simply questions the stability of the person that seems to you to have this dream gift, and does not want that person interfering in the lives of people with information that may simply be wrong. One way to express that doubt might be to tell them to keep the "information" between themselves and God.

That teacher needs to do some reevaluation. If God gives a gift, doesn't it only make SENSE that He would want her to use it??? What about the parable of the talents?
