I moved here (new mexico) this past winter from South Carolina where I knew my neighbors quite well. As of now, I still don't know my new naighbors' names, but I know one of them is a military cop who just came back from Iraq.
We moved here during some seriously cold weather and no one spent anytime outside even just to say Hi! We got a head nod from each neighbor within two weeks of moving in and that's been about all so far. I can't wait to move back to the southeast when I retire in a few years.

I have one neighbor on one side that I like and get along with great. They are quiet and considerate, and very friendly.
I have another neighbor on the other side that I don't like. She is fussy and complains a lot. She ahs never worked a day in her life, so she has no concept of the real world.
I'm a loner and would rather live in the country with no one around me!!!

yes. left right front back....I like all of them..they are nice and caring neighbors..we sometimes chit chat a little whenever we can..have tea..even jog at the playground..but I don't really like the one on my left..
ok, I am quite a friendly and reasonable person n neighbor..but the one on the left is....quite..may I say..inconsiderate..n selfish...n unfriendly..I said this because she threw rubbish near my yard and into my drain..I caught her once throwing a tissue paper into my little garden...(right onto the pot!!!) on Sunday morning when she thought I was still sleeping..she would just say that it was the children who did it!!? when her side is so dirty with junks, boxes, piles, I don't know what they are there for...
but I try to ignore her attitude by trying to smile whenever we bumped onto each other but she always showed her poker face..

Let me say, my neighbor on the right: She is o.k. with just "hi"
looking nice the plants, nice day, etc, etc he is = but sometimes have some conversation, I like them? ... yes
lo the left we just say goodmorning or hello, no more, this is a new neiborhood where houses are kind of expensive ( @ 1.000.000.00 +) and people have hi egos, specially because the majority are foreigners. At Christmas it looks like Alice in Wonderland

On one side I have swingers, a lovely home and it was a shock when my daughter babysat and they offered her and her girl friend liquor, and a video camera. Needless to say I don't like em. She works at the high school, yes I told them but they hired her anyway. In Everson, Wa. The other neighbor is a nice guy with a new marriage, his kids hate the new mom, did drugs and ran away. He was remote but we greet each other and smile. If u have kids, u get everyones business--sure they know mine too.Ha

Kinda unfortunately.
She's ok... he's moody: some days he'll smile and say 'hi' and other days he just glowers at me.
I try to not 'see' my neighbours. If I hear a door simultaneously opening when I'm leaving the apartment, I quickly shut my door until they're gone.

I live in NE Georgia and I am surrounded by rednecks. I don't have any neighbors. They are all ignorant savages. The SOB on one side shot one of my dogs. The one on the other side wants to cut down my trees. The miserable creep across the street poisoned 3 of my dogs.
