By God's gift of faith, I know that Jesus Christ is the only person to claim divinity and support it with countless miracles, most notably his resurrection! Jesus didn't just bring wise teaching, Jesus brought good news that God (He) has entered time and space and that through him we can obtain salvation by the power of the Holy Spirit! By Jesus' most precious blood our sins are forgiven! God bless.

I was Christian first and any time that I read the bible it was always confusing and people would always say "Confusion is from the devil". Well even the parts I did understand never made any since pulse all the contradictions. I converted to Islam when I was 17 and my life could never be better. This religion is the right one because it teaches to worship the Creator and not the creation. And that was another problem in Christianity they tell you to worship Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) when in fact Jesus worshiped God and not himself and he never taught that either. But Islam has order were as Christianity doesn't. I say that because Christians pray how they want, worship the way they see fit instead of how God said to. They put Jesus first and not the Creator, and some even say the Jesus is God and that is not true. The bible even lie on other prophets and messengers as if to say God doesn't know what He's doing. So I'll stick with Islam until I die!!!!
Muslims believe in Jesus and everything that he did how ever he's not God and shouldn't be treated as if he is. Yes he is the promised Messiah but he is not God.
Al-Baqarah - 2:107
Know you not that it is Allâh to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? And besides Allâh you have neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper. (Al-Baqarah 2:107)
God told all the Prophets and Messengers to worship Him and only Him and they taught that. Now God doesn't change He never has. Now if this is true why now do people have to wrship Jesus? If God told all the Prophets and Messengers to worship Him and teach this why now do people have to worship Jesus? Did God change? No! The people did, and they changed the religion to fit their own life styles.
I believe in God, that He is the only way into Paridise
Al-Baqarah - 2:21
O mankind! worship your Lord (Allâh), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2). (Al-Baqarah 2:21)

There are many reasons that makes me believe Christianity is the right one. The Holy Spirit living in my heart is the number one, when you get saved and born again the Holy Spirit comes and lives in your heart, the Holy Spirit is the third part of the trinity, it guides you into all truth, John 16:13. The Holy Spirit gives you such a feeling of peace in your heart, I am no longer seeking after anything, I am content, I have a love in my heart for all mankind, I do volunteer work, every time the church door is open I am there, I have been to NO and Miss this year helping build houses. I have a desire to go, when Jesus was not my Saviour and the Holy Spirit wasn't in my heart I would not do those things, I am a different person now. In NO or Miss, I never seen any of the other religions, 99 percent baptist and methodist, that is a fact. Look around and see who loves who, the bible says God is Love, the Bible says in John 3:16 that God sent his son to die on a cross for us that we might have everlasting life, all we have to do is believe, if you would like to be saved right now just say this prayer, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

it all hinges on Jesus Christ.........He claimed to be the Son of God and He did miracles that nobody had seen....He was crucified and buried and rose from the grave 3 days later...... Jesus had some huge claims first one was claiming he was God in human flesh Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-3 and Hebrews 1 and Philippians 2:5-11. We can look back to when they put Jesus in the tomb it was sealed with a roman seal and guards placed in front of the tomb..If one stole Jesus's body and broke the seal it would mean death and if the soldiers had something to do with it that also meant death. So no one could of stolen the body which means Jesus rose from the grave. Even if the Romans did move it to prevent the followers of Jesus from stealing it. They could of produced the body of Jesus when the Disciples claimed that Jesus had risen. That would of ended the religion right there.

There were eyewitness's to the fact that they had seen Jesus after is death for he had been seen by over 500 people at different times..How could 500 people all witness the same thing at different times and tell the same story? You would think that the story would of gotten distorted or changed, but it didn't.

Josephus who was a Jewish historian wrote about Jesus and He didn't believe in the sect..

the list goes on and on..........so who Jesus claimed to be I believe it the evidence is overwhelming in favour of Jesus being who He says He is....Thats why I believe.

I believe in The one true God that sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for the forgiveness of man's sins. what makes me believe that? That is something that took some time. I lived a life of drugs drinking witchcraft and satan worship. the power was real to me. the destruction of my life just as real. The destruction by my choices. I have died three times twice by my own hand, yet here I am an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and happily married with a family and a life to be proud of ONLY since I gave my heart and my life to Jesus Christ. The guilt over the loss of my 14 year old daughter and the many people I hurt and the hate that I felt for the people that hurt me gone. I know that the Love of the Father has brought me to a place that nothing and no one could ever have done. My dad had Leukemia and with no treatment it literally disappeared. That is a MIRACLE done by God!! That is what makes me believe.

I am a Christian and I believe the Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed himself at Calvary for me! Without this I would be lost. Many times He has helped with finances, health, and ways to numerous to mention. For example, my son had a motorcycle accident which totaled his bike, he sustained a fractured wrist, and a fractures vertebrae. The Lord spared his life through the prayers of our church family. Another example is that of my pastor's 16 yr. old daughter. She smelled smoke and saw flames while driving, she also observed other drivers moving away from her car on the road. She pulled over and left the car and only a few seconds later the car exploded and burned. Praise the Lord, she was safe! When she was an infant her parents dedicated her to the Lord and He kept her in His constant care. It is for these and many other reasons that I believe, I worship, am saved, and filled with His Spirit. With God nothing is impossible.

All religions can be used correctly or incorrectly. So it is important to learn and support the right ways to teach all religions so they work together in harmony instead of conflict.

My personal beliefs are that Christianity is meant to unify all "tribes" (including secular Gentiles, even agnostics and atheists who do not define truth in terms of God or Jesus) as one in the spirit of truth, love, good will and charity to all.

So no matter if you are in the Gentile or Buddhist tribe, under natural laws, or if you are among the Jews/Christians/Muslims under divine laws, the point is for all of us to come together in Christ to fulfill God's will or good will on earth, or the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven.

There is meant to be harmony among all the tribes, and we merely have to learn to forgive and reconcile past conflicts and differences in order to heal from the past and to build the ideal world in the present and future. The Bahai especially teach that all world religions were built around a teacher sent at different points of history to reach a certain audience. So if you follow the progression and see what each teacher added to human knowledge and understanding, you can better see the greater picture of God's truth over all time.

I believe that the real truth encompasses and includes all religions and even secular laws or nonreligious ways of thought, which are like different languages. Some groups or "tribes" focus on teaching "divine" laws or moral laws; while others focus on "natural laws" or ethics. So I find where these agree in truth, where values and meanings are universal, all religions or systems can be used the right way to express truth. Unfortunately all religions or systems can be also abused for selfish gain, to corrupt the truth and contradict the right way, thus bringing slander and discredit upon the whole group.

My advice to you if you are curious about religions is to study as many as possible, and to "distinguish" between the denominations or interpretation of each religion that is compatible with others or which is contradictory. If you can see both the truth in every system, as well as the faulty teachings that depart from truth, then you will be better able to discern truth from falseness in all situations, no matter what your beliefs.

Yours truly,
Emily

You know, everyday I wonder why people find a NEED to have the answer RIGHT NOW!

The truth is..you will NEVER ever ever know the right answer unless you die!

Religion to me was built to make people feel better about there afterlife. Since NO ONE knew what occurred when people died..people created beliefs to make sure that when they die they would have a pleasant life whenever they went!

if you study religion, you will see how much EVERY RELIGION is based on the afterlife

Christianity: Choose christ and live in heaven or go to hell

Muslim: Heaven or hell For guys-if you do good now, you'll get 40 virgins to sleep with..

Buddhism: Find the right path and you will be enlightened..you will be like God..knowing all things and being above all evil

Taoisim: Die and be Gods..

I mean..its human selfishness really! Ask a christian why they serve Christ, they will tell you the regular "i love him..he died for me.." etc. get deeper than that and they will say.."i don't want to go to hell!"

Religion in itself is JUST a way for people to feel better about not knowing what will happen when they die! Every human wants to be SPECIAL or CHOSEN so they will say that "ONLY our kind will make it to the great place on the other side." this is how us humans are and if you don't beleive me..take a look back at history where you will see whites saying they are better than blacks..skinny saying they are better than fight..light saying they are better than dark...my country is better than your country!..Even in school..children strive to be the FAVORED bunch!

So you see..we as humans strive to be BETTER than each other...using anything to justify it. In the case of afterlife, every religion wants to be the RIGHT WAY..which theyre is NO RIGHT WAY!

How could there be one clear cut way when we all are SO VERY DIFFERENT! We eat, sleep, drink, laugh, believe, have oppinions that are different..so how could we ALL agree on one thing!

After all my years of searching, i finally realized something.."Why the hell am I RUSHING to find out? Why the hell do i NEED to find out RIGHT NOW? Is it because of fear of damnation?..

The truth is, I was afraid of eternal damnation. Being a christian for that most part of years..i was scared into christianity in all reality. My answer for believing rooted all the way to my fear of hell.

After that epiphany, I decided to take a religion course to learn about other religions..which seem EERILY CLOSE to one another when it comes to creation, mankind, and the afterlife!! I suggest you do this too..

but anywho..There is NO need to rush to find out anything that you will never know until you die...and that is really the truth my friend.

I'm not an athiest because i am very open to there being a God or gods or a Goddess or whatever it is...but I'm very much open to believing that there is NO God whatsoever?

Can anyone prove there is a God?

and better yet

Cab anyone prove there is NO God?

so who is right and who is wrong?

I bet you never thought about it like that!

I try not to "believe."

This "believing" business is a shuck that everyone, it seems, just can't wait to fall into.

You do NOT have to believe, you can struggle for real knowledge.

When you stand back from it, the Belief in God, is about the weirdest thing you could ever imagine.

Trouble is, people have a hard time stepping back.
