I don't believe True Christians disrespect any ones personal beliefs. America is for the FREE and everyone has his right in their personal beliefs or none beliefs, it's your Constitutional Right; although, that same Constitutional Right is for the believers in Christ and Satanism. Everyone has a choice. I just pray your beliefs are for the better of MANKIND either GOOD or EVIL. GOD BLESS YOU! AMEN! SHALOM!

You just have to put up with them. The whole "eye for an eye" thing just isn't a good thing to follow. What kind of example are you setting if you complain about them disrespecting you but you don't respect them? I've had plenty of chances to lash out at people (and not just Christians) who insulted my beliefs, but I haven't because it'd make me a hypocrite. Besides, anyone who really does insult your beliefs will get what's coming to them via karma ^_^

Do all Christians disrespect your beliefs? Or only some? I kinda doubt you've come in contact with every Christian in the world. If the ones you have come in contact with dissed your beliefs, I'm sorry. But why don't you save your disrespect for the individuals who were rude to you, instead of aiming it at a whole group of people.

Christianity teaches love, forgiveness and acceptance but church doctrine condemns homosexuality, abortion and divorce as threat to the foundations of family, and the sanctity of man's life. You will have your freedom of choice according to your conscience but true christians has to follow christ's teachings, otherwise no substance. In the present day times, regardless of beliefs, respect among others is still vital to achieve peace.

There is no reason whatsoever- I for one am tired of being civilised and reasonable to theologians when they clearly don't feel the need to reciprocate such behaviour - for one, they think that if your able to acknowledge you may be wrong (something they can't do), they have one over on you, and according to their faith I'm going to suffer in hell for eternity for not going on about how big and great god is and how jolly impressed I am - wheres the respect and tolerance in that then? Unless they keep their daft little beliefs to themselves they should be treated with contempt- An all powerful patriarch that runs everything- ffs- one look at the human phsyce tells you how we dreamt this up, how thick/weak/afraid of death do you have to be to subscribe to this crap?
As for shifting the goalposts and saying "Well I respect the beliefs of others" - you affiliated yoiurself with an organisation- with that comes responsibilities- your organisation deems me a heretic fit only for an eternity of suffering. As long as you are part of this organisation this too is your belief, making you my enemy. If you aren't comfortable with this stop affiliating yourself with an organisation which makes arbitrary moral judgements on behalf of everyone else and start thinking for yourself.

I don't see any particular reason to respect ideologies that I consider dangerous and actually directly threatening to my rights as a human being. Not to be dramatic!

I mean, to mention just one point, I'm gay. So I'm supposed to "respect" all these people who think I'm hellbound unless I live a life of self-repression and denial, people who are actively lobbying, spending millions of dollars and countless manhours campaigning to make sure that I'm denied rights?

I DO respect their right to believe as they choose. They don't respect mine.

You should respect them because they are rude and they have a problem with you not the opposite. You are the bigger man and that can be shown by showing them respect and tolerance, something most of them seem to ignore.
Didn't Jesus preach love, peace and acceptance? Well, they are even contradicting their saviour it seems...

I'm sorry that you've been disrespected or offendeded by Christians. But, when you retaliate against a general group of people, you're retaliating against some pretty cool people who feel disrespected by your implied assumption that all Christians are disrespectful.

They are even uncomfortable with the passion of respecting ones self. They have been brainwashed by centuries of ignorance and don't care to know better.
