Back child support really does not exist anymore. Which really SUCKS!! The best bet is call an attorney or if you can not afford one you can always call your local child support enforcement office. They do the work for you. But if you know where he is at it willbe much easier. the process can take up to 6 months but in the end it is worth it. Also like in our case, I went through child support enforcment the "hearing" can actually be done over the phone. We had ours done this way it makes it easy for those that do not live in the same county as yourself. Hope this has helped

Don't know what state you are in, the laws differ in each state. I would have your mom contact the state dept of health and human services where you live. It may even be the revenue dept. in your state. The amount owed to you depends on many factors. Did your mom have a child support court order? That would help determine the amount. If she did not they will have to figure out how much income your dad has had over the years.,then there are calculations that they do If he has any other kids.
I would start with that, If that doesn't help try supportkids.com
It is a plus if you know where he is, I don't know where my ex is and he now owes my son thousands of dollars. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

You may have to contact the Mexican government on this one. I'm not sure if you can get anything from him until he comes back into the states or not. Have you asked your family's lawyer about this? They should be able to lead you in the right direction.
