I would dilute it somewhat but it has to be 100% juice. It is better if you give your bird cut up apples, oranges, etc. He can access the juice that way. The rule to remember is if it is good for you, it is good for the bird. If it is bad for you, don't give it to your bird. No alcohol, nothing accessively salty or accessively greasey. They love cheese, pasta, mashed potatoes. NO AVACADO! The pit is poisonous and some of it can get on the fruit of the avacado and kill your bird. Yes, to the juice...diluted....in small quantities.

Hi!
Well I have heard that you should not give your cockatiel orange juice because it has a lot of acid in it that could not be good for the bird... But I am pretty sure you can give him some apple juice. I am sure that is better for him than OJ. Good luck with your birdie!

I wouldn't chance it. I once added a spoon full of fresh squeezed orange juice (from the day before) to my baby parrots formula and within minutes he was dying! I had to give him lots of water with tetracycline for 3 days to get well. Maybe pure processed non sweetened juice would be okay. I give my birds a weekly dose of citrus flavored vitamins in their water. It's special for birds, so I am assured of it's safety.

Sure. Read the label and see if there is other stuff besides juice in the container. A few sips would be good for him and will help him bond with you. Sharing food is good for both of you.

give her fresh fruits and veggies! animals love fresh food! but make sure to look up on her species so you know what kinds of stuff is OK...also! i know they have a supplement you can put in water for small animals that gives them all the nutrients as juice would...however i can't imagine that a jucie-juice would harm her, so maybe a little sip here and there, but don't make it a daily thing.

I would not suggest pure orange juice, because it has quite a bit of acid. Pure apple juice would be OK.
My wife drinks water from a 20 ounce bottle to which she adds about a half teaspoon of lemon juice. Our Quaker LOVES it! He even refuses apple juice in favor of lemon water!
Give it a try.
Good Luck

A Cockatiel cocktail -how interesting !
I'd say just some fresh juicy fruit (without additives ) would be better. Try melons and grapes , kiwi and some strawberries.
