If your ATM card has a Visa or MC logo on it, you can use it as a regular credit card. It will have a 16 digit number on it, an expiration date and a security code on the back - just like a regular credit card.
***Never give your 4 digit PIN number to anyone - ever.***
Rather than buying online with your debit card, go to your corner drugstore and buy a VISA gift card for the amount of money you want to charge. These work exactly like a credit card but no one will have access to your checking account.
Many of these cards can be reloaded when you've spent all the money allocated to them.

What do you mean ATM number? Are you referring to the four digit pin number you use when you get money out of the ATM??? Then No. When they ask you for a credit card number you can use your Visa Check Card if that's what you mean as it's both a debit and a credit card, but never give someone your pin #.

When you say atm number, do you mean your debit card that's linked to your checking? If that's the case, you can use it as a credit card as long as your debit card displays a "mastercard' or "visa" logo. If your atm card doesn't have any card logos, than you can't use it as a credit card.

Report your card number stolen. Most banks and credit card company return all your money. I had my debit card number jacked and someone in NY went on a spending spree(I live in Washington), cleared out my bank account. BUT the bank returned all my money within 5 days.

No, but if you have a debit card issued by one of the major credit card companies, you can use it.

Be very careful who you give your info to. You can go to your bank and set up bill pay and they will send a check or electronic transfer funds and protect your info. If you are buying on ebay, set up an account with Paypal and they will shelter your info. I only give my direct info to companies like at&t, cingular-websites that I contact, so that they can draft my account. Be very careful, there are so many people that want to scam you-no matter how nice they seem.
