I slept on my apartment floor for 3 months! I got a bed when I got a girlfriend.

The trick is to have a few pillows (ideally 5 or 6) or blankets. They don't have to be nice or anything but poofier is better.

If you do the blanket method then make sure to fold them half as many times as you can and have about 6 or so inches on each side of you. This will make half way decent cushion.

The pillow method also works okay. Lay down the first blanket and lay the pillows on top in a row to provide a cushy surface then wrap the blanket over on top and try to tuck it in the bottom. This keeps the pillows in line while you sleep.

For your head pillow you can roll up a pair of pants and tuck them inside a really soft (fleece?) shirt or sweater.

Sleeping on the floor aint bad. Use your creativity.

p.s. Alot of cultures do it. When I was stationed in Korea I spent the night at my friends house. I slept in his brother's bedroom (there wasn't a bed) but his father had brought me roll up type bed to sleep on.

You can purchase an air mattress at walmart for about $30 or so. You could also buy a yoga/exercise mat for about $15. One or 2 nights on a hard floor is OK but you will end up uncomfortable and waking up a lot during the night. You might be able to buy an Army type cot at an Army/Navy Store for cheap money as well.

No worries, we're all been there. Suggest going to Sams and getting a cheap twin mattress to lay on the floor. You'll sleep like a baby!

air mattress or a sleeping bag are the best choices that come to mind. if all else fails, just place a butt load of covers on the floor to make yourself a bed.
