I feel in love with someone's daughter. She's an energetic young girl. like her a lot. I'd do anything for her. I like playing with her and answering her questions. I even think about how nice it would be to help her with homework or pick her up from school. But she's my friends girlfriends daughter. He doesn't like to play with her at all. I guess he isn't good with kids. Why do I like the daughter? Is this a sign that I want a family of my own?

You are exhibiting wonderful skills inf helping her with homework and all that.
Think of it as good practice for when you have your own family, and work toward that.
The only thing I would suggest being clear about would be your intents towards this family... this kid is not a relative, and you could easily come off looking... uh... kinda creepy. Do you understand what I am saying?
Ever think of getting into the profession of teaching or tutoring... perhaps on weekends? Perhaps you can look into the credential requirements for that. It can pay very well.

It is definately a sign of longing. It doesn't mean run out and get pregnant by some guy just because you want a child. It sounds like you have thought about this. Think of what you want in a relationship first. If you are waiting for that special someone, you can babysit other kids and things like that. Don't rush into having a child. Make sure the environment is stable. Remember, you can send her home, but when you have one of your own you can't do that. Make sure you are ready. Good Luck!

Maybe you are just a nice person that feels the need to be of help to your girlfriend's daughter. You see that her Dad pretty much ignores her and you don't like that she is being treated that way. Yes, you probably would like a stable home life that included a wife and children.

You should look for a nice girl to date. You can't acquire a family, at least you shouldn't try to. If you want to answer kids questions, and play with them, then volunteer for a club, or a sports program. If it is just this young lady that you are fixated on, then I am sincerely asking you to seek help.
