Clariten is an over the counter drug that is a great anti-histamine, and helps me to be able to sleep and breath better.

Use saline nasal sprays gently. Eat a no sugar, no salt, 10% fat diet that contains fruits and vegetables. Celery sticks. Keep hands and face washed. Take showers every day. Keep hydrated with 32 ounces of water a day at least. Take walks or swims away from pollenation if possible. Do stiffen your stomach and keep your posture when moving at all times. Breathe fresh air outside when possible.
If you can, from time to time stand on your hands. Lay on a hard floor on your back and breath deeply if you can. Walk barefoot outside on the ground once in a while. Get active when you can physically. Clean things up around you. Clean mold and mildew, dust, etc. Make sure your garbage is sealed and out.

Where to start?
First of all, I am allergic to everything! My regimen includes a daily allergy medication (Allegra has been great for me), a nasal spray (Nasonex, Flonase), and depending on the severity and seasons you are affected you could also be tested to get allergy shots (I get two every two weeks, and have been for ten years).
The important thing is to keep up the treatments all during your allergy seasons (mine are year-round though), even if you don't feel affected by allergies.

You family MD can prescribe some meds for your nasal stuffiness caused by allergies....there are several. Some are oral and some come in a pump sprayer that you use once daily.....see him/her.
