No, its because of corrupt officials and moguls that buy everything up and smother the competition in Mexico.

No.
I think the reason we have a lot of illegal immigrants here is that they are looking for the easy way to have what the people that legally live in this nation have.
They can fight the corruption in Mexican government - there are more people than government officials. It is a cop out that they won't do anything. Blood needs to be shed to change things. And it won't happen overnight. But change takes time and effort. Until they do something to change what is going on in their government, they are going to continue to be treated poorly in their nation, and shunned in ours.
All anyone is asking is that people respect our nation enough to follow the laws that are in place. They are there for a reason, not to p!ss everyone off. If there was no worry of overpopulation, disease, or economic collapse, then there would be no immigration laws.
The US has little to do with Mexico's economy. Mexico has more to lose with illegal immigration being stopped than the US does - Mexico gets millions of dollars from those illegals sending it home to their families in that county. That is the #1 source of foreign money.

If you are talking about globalization, it isn't doing a thing for Americans either. In fact, I don't really understand the whole point of it. It just seems to be taking away the substantial employment and replacing it with unreliable service positions and low wages unless the jobs are all but unbearable. I don't think the U.S. would ever intentionally destroy Mexico's economy any more than we would Canada's.

Mr. Robot has it right. Mexico has profited from NAFTA, but none of it has made it into the pockets of the average citizens.
For example, Carlos Slim didn't get rich by being the best at what he does, he got rich because he has a monopoly and is gouging Mexican citizens for as much as he can get away with.

Mexico's corrupt government has completely and utterly stifled growth in their country, and their own military has been witnessed airlifting people across our own borders to assist in illegal immigration. They truly are seeking to undermine the sovereignity of the U.S. and are succeeding in a cultural invasion far exceeding the success of our own attempts in the middle east.

Mexico controls its own economy. They do not depend on the U.S. or on any other country except their own. Seems like they don't want to take responsibility for their own failures.
