I was thinking today about how blessed we are to have R&S. For the first several years, if you were found guilty of being a Christian, you would be thrown out of the synagogues, have all your possessions taken away, you and your entire family would be jailed, and some were even executed. Let’s face it, spreading the gospel has always been dangerous and many have paid the ultimate price for obeying God.
So, when you think of it, is dealing with the people here on R&S who don’t understand God really that bad?

As an atheist, I love R&S simply because it's a place to express my opinions about religion without alienating people or being hated.

I think it's a wonderful place to learn about religions such as Islam and Christianity and meet awesome new people.

It does get frustrating at times, like someone else mentioned, but I do believe that it wasn't just by accident that I stumbled upon this forum. I believe God certainly has a purpose for every Christian who answers questions here, whom genuinely want to share the love of Christ with those who don't have it, as this might be the only place they are exposed to it. And because of that, I believe we need to stay prayed up for His wisdom and discernment when choosing our words here! :)

Well, you've got a point there. It's sometimes murky though getting thru the muck of those who pretend to be true Christians but underneath are posers or hypocrites.

For those that truly love Bible and Godly standards this is a great opportunity to share, and maybe help those who have less understanding come to attain accurate knowledge. Gotta be careful though of wolves in sheep clothing. There are more of these ones around, esp. those who make up lies only for one to find out later that they have been duped!

Good question!

Absolutely.

As a Christian, I'm convinced God is using R&S for the good of His kingdom.

And some of the most hardened unbelievers here - still writing their testimonies - will become very effective witnesses for Christ.

Praise the Lord for He is good!!

Right you are. I am happy to be able to tell people the truth of Jesus Christ. Even though people say the most horrible things about Christians, about our Lord Jesus , about God the Father and the Holy Spirit, I think it is worthwhile to keep on keeping on here at R&S . If just one person comes to Christ then it will be worth the countless hours we spend here. Remember the angels in heaven rejoice when a sinner comes to Christ!! I also think the day is coming when we Christians in America will face the same persecution they face today in China,Pakistan,Saudi Arabia, India, Bangledesh, Indonesisa, Malaysia, Viet Nam and etc. So we need to take advantage of the situation and spread the Gospel. True revival will always come on the heels of persecution. God bless....Cap'n Arlo

You don't have a religion. Although you have every right to be here you don't have a legitimate reason to be. Your only reason for being here is hatred.

And do you seriously think we have never seen those links?
I dare YOU to read The Case for Christ, or The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel or anything by Norman Geisler or Alex McFarland.

No. I've seen so much despicable behavior by so-called Christians that I'm close to becoming an Atheist.

Yes. I am able to spread my knowledge and faith with others, as well as learn something new about faith each day. Also, I am able to get a taste of the kind of evil that exists out there, and the kind of hatred and misunderstanding they have about our faith.

As a Christian I find that it is very good practice at answering questions the world has as well as seeing the ignorance and hatefulness of others who will not reason with you at all.
I pray that some of the answers I provide may find fertile soil.
