Have a filling in it already but decay was too much. Now I have extreme pain in my forehead and that side of my face and neck and I've had this before which resulted in me having to get a root canal. In the meantime while I'm waiting for my appointment what can I take for the pain - it's excruciating!

ONLY 1 OF 2 THINGS CAN HAPPEN.
1. LOOSE IT OR
2. SAVE IT

IF YOU SAVE IT YOU WILL NEED A ROOT CANAL AND A CROWN

IN THE MEANTIME TAKE 3-4 ADVIL FOR THE PAIN BEFORE YOU SEE YOUR DENTIST

Call your dentist and have him give you some pain meds. You really should not be in pain since you have had the root canal done. The nerve of the tooth should be gone and that is what would be causing the pain. If you have not had the root canal done yet then you will need to be put on antibiotics and pain meds. Please call your dentist and talk with him about the pain you are having. Good Luck and I hope that you feel better soon.

If you went to the dentist you should have asked for pain meds but try some advil till you can get them. This helps but you will still have some pain.
