Is the area around the holes red, pink, or purple? Do the earlobes feel warm? If not, it's probably not an infection.
OK, keep the earrings in, and
1] clean the area around holes with peroxide twice a day
2] apply antibiotic ointment to area around holes after cleaning
3] keep turning the earrings in the hole, several times a day
4] buy some small or medium size skinny hoops with surgical steel wires - don't try to put them in for at least two weeks after ears look healed. The wires keep the area open to air.
5] DON'T buy any earrings that aren't gold filled, surgical steel or hypo-allergenic. If you ever do wear'junk' earrings, remove them as soon as you get home, and put 'good' ones in.
6] keep earrings in ears at all times for 12 months.

Okay first of all are the backs on too tight?? The back of the earrings should be at the end of the post of the earring to were the sharp point is not visible.
Neosporin is alright to use too...but the best thing to use is hydrogen peroxide deluted with water (NOT by itself...it will just make the wound dry out.)
Try not to lay directly on the earrings at night. Lay on your back if you can...laying on the earrings sometimes can irritate them.
If it has been 8 weeks then you can take your earrings out. You can actually take them out after 6 weeks. You just MUST keep SOMETHING in your ears at all times for 6 MONTHS....meaning don't sleep without them or don't go even a hour without them for the whole 6 months.
So change them to some other 14k Gold earrings to see if that helps...sometimes those darn piercing earrings even irritate my ears.
Hope this helps.

Sea salt is what they usually tell you to use with piercing so try putting a little sea salt in water and use that to clean your ears. Or, at many piercing places they sell sea salt cleaning solutions. But, your ears could be infected so if this method does not work go to your doctor and get them checked out

elo babe, yh its normal it's just the healing process usually happens when there is pressure on the bar or the bar is pushed through the skin, its all gd this will happen for about 6 months. You say you have had it in 8 weeks so you dnt need to clean it with salt water all the time but if you do this once a day it will be fine.

1. your ears are probably infected, you might want to take your ears out for a day or so and let them settle down.
2. you may want to rise them out with a solution that's special for ears twice a day and to continue doing so even after you put your earrings back in. these solutions are usually sold at places where they pierce ears.
3. the infection could of been caused by the material of your earrings, i would suggest to go to Claire's where they sell earring's for people who have sensitive ears.

First of all, you probably have an infection. Go to the place where you got your ears pierced, and ask them about it. Also, try using antiseptic. it helps keep the holes clean and heal them.

You should have been using peroxide. Try cleaning them with that but you sound like you have an infection. Is the site of it warm? If it is you have an infection. Go to the doctors.

If you can take them out, try putting neosporin on the post's of your earrings. That helped mine heal. I have forgotten how long before you can take them out, it's been a while since I got mine pierced!! Good Luck!
