There are several supposed true stories of reincarnation here:
http://paranormal.about.com/library/bltales_reincarnation.htm
http://paranormal.about.com/library/weekly/aa042400a.htm
Here are some books that deal with it:
http://www.amazon.com/Past-Lives-True-Stories-Reincarnation/dp/0863699065
http://www.ecampus.com/bk_detail.asp?isbn=1587363224&referrer=CJ
Also you can read an account of how H.H. The Dalai Lama was chosen as a young boy because he identified items belonging to the previous Dalai Lama which he is believed to be a reincarnation of.
Good luck on your report.

Research Edgar Cayce.... here is a start:

http://www.are-cayce.com/about_ec/cayce_on/reincarnation/index.html
http://www.wie.org/unbound/media.asp?id=101

Heres an excerpt..

We were created in undeveloped form, so as to allow us room to learn and develop our individualities.
This is the reason souls' incarnate. To grow and develop, so that each may eventually earn his place beside the Creator. Reincarnation offers us the chance to learn from our mistakes and to develop our talents. And all of this learning cannot be done in the span of one lifetime! It is a gradual process. The readings state that often it takes more than thirty incarnations on the earth plane for a soul to finish its development!
We cannot discuss reincarnation sensibly without talking about the Laws of Karma.

There is a book that speaks of this which is true and faithful. However, it speaks only of the eternity of the human soul, which some could interpret loosely as reincarnation.
