I'm sorry, I mean rate the AK with a scale from 1 to 10 (1 the worst, 10 the best )

Guys, DJ is writing the rating wrong, just to let you guys know. He's putting the AK # in front to show the best one. I hope you guys can scale it normally, example: Romanian- 8

Did any one of you guys actually have experience with all the AK variants I listed? I know the Russian and East German types are impossible to get, but how about all other types of AKs? Any real experience with them?

What about the Russians'? ! ! (That is, if you can find one anymore!)
Instead of dealing with some arbitrary 'rating system', all the AK's I've seen tested over the years. . . . .
BEST (& hardest to find!) East German
2nd. Romanian
Polish, Bulgarian & Hungarian are about equal
Chinese 'monkey copies'. . . . dead last WORST!

There is no such thing as a bad AK. I am partial to the Romanian as they have never had any problems. Of course, neither have any of the others. It is just that first feel and shot from my Romanian AKs feels so totally right.

I won't rate these as rifles in generals, just as AK-47s
Romanian- 7/10
Polish- 7/10
German 8/10
China- Norinco models 10/10, MAK-90s 8/10
Bulgaria- 7/10
Hungary- 7.5/10
From my experiences with these rifles, there is very little difference between different models of AK-47s. They will all have somewhat sub-par accuracy but will usually have fairly good reliability. However the Norinco 56 did stand out as being slightly superior than the others. But this comes at a price. The Romanian versions are the cheapest variants out there, and are just as good as most of the more expensive ones, so that's the model I settled for. But if you have the money to spend I highly suggest the Norinco 56.

Sorry about that, you said rate so I put them in order.
For Semi-auto AK variants.....
The german ones are the best, if you can find one. I have heard stories of the Russian ones....but have you actually seen one for sale anywhere?
The Norinco and MAKs are better in quality and fit and finish than any of the other eastern Europe versions. I have a Hungarian and a Romanian as well as the MAK and both are rougher than the MAK in every part.
1 5.5/10
2 7/10
3 9/10
4 8/10
5 6.5/10
6 7/10

AK....what? 47's? 74's? are we talking about dogs here? all in all an AK is about the most worthess rifle out there for any practical purpose. (unless you want an easily produced assault rifle that you don't have to take the time to clean so much)
with that said:
1) the only ones I know that made them were china and romania, the rest of the countries were usually stocked from somewhere else and the AK has all but gone out of production to better, more accurate rifles now adays. what you usually find is refurbished rifles and then it really goes to the guys who've redone them, and not the country that made it.

I wouldn't waste my time or money for any AK. Yes they are reliable under harsh conditions but that's about it.
