Heh. :) I don't know. But I assume it is because as annoying as some creatures seem, they do play a part in the overall ecosystem and are necessary in some way. If you kill the plankton, the fish that eat that will die, and then the humans that eat the fish will die, etc. God is anything but short sighted --- and this should be a lesson to us to take care of the earth!

Interesting question. But we need a balance of nature. For example, mosquitoes are a good food for bats at sundown. During the day they are good fish food. Swallows eat them too. You could pose that question about any pair and there would be a logical answer.

Good question, however mosquitos being mosquitos and there being so much water and so many animals on board I sort of doubt that he was limited to two. (same with flies)

Because, then there would be no West Nile virus, or the West Nile shot, or the people who are afraid of the West Nile shot, or the people who are afraid of the West Nile virus, and we need suffering in the world, or there wouldn't be earthquakes, floods, fires, deaths, and we need ways for people to die, 'cause then we would have to move to Mars.

Good question! Actually I don't believe he took any insects on the ark. They could have survived the flood depending on which life stage they were in.
