Ahhhh... Have you hear of this word? VET!! Call the ER vet now, and take the darn dog in to the vet!! MY GOD, lets wait until morning when you have a dead litter of 2 week old pups because the ***** will not nurse because she is sick. What kind of owner are you?!! Go to the vet!! And for all means, DO NOT give her any meds at all unless you ask the vet!!

If it was a bee or some other type of insect Benadryl or an antihistamine will help. (it will make her tired though) But yes get her to the vet asap. And call and emergency vet for tips. You may also have to tend to the pups yourself for a bit.

Good luck.

It could really be serious so I would try your best to get her to the vet. But if you ABSOLUTELY can't, then i would suggest to try to get ice or something cold on her throat to stop the swelling because before you know it, her airway could be clogged. Otherwise, this might just be a reaction of giving a hard birth to her puppies. So for the time being, comfort her and make her feel special while you can. Show her that you love her and PLEASE try to get her to the vet. I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!!!! =)

My dogs face blows up when he gets bit by bees and my vet always tells me to put him on Benedryl for a few days. If nothing else call teh vet to check but if oyur dog is having an allergic reaction she needs Benedryl but I am not sure if it okay for the pups. At least call your vet and check. But in all reality you should get her to a vet.

Look for a puncture wound or bite mark. If you find one, you can gently clean it with a warm wash cloth that is dampened with water. You might give her a small dose of Benadryl. She is reacting to something and the Benadryl will help her alot. Then you need to get her to a Vet (take the pups with you in case this takes awhile and they will need to nurse).

I think you should make way to take her to the vet, it is truly really what she needs. There is no one on here that can help you as much as they can. Even if you just call the vet to get some over the phone advice, do it, and do it NOW!

Sigh. Then call the vet or take her to a vet.

Why oh why do people have veterinary emergencies, then waste time on an internet chat line, rather than talk to the expert...your vet.

We have multiple dogs, cats, horses as well as aquatic pets. We'd never sit on the computer if our "babies" that we can't bear to lose had an emergency, we'd be getting our butts...(and theirs) to the vet.

I am sorry to sound harsh, folk on here can't diagnose your dog ......take her to the vet.

Take her to a see vet straight away, not just for her own safety, but for that of her pups, since she's still nursing.
