most women i know will sit and complain about the jerks they are involved with. How they never do anything to further the relationship. I know one that is pregnant with her bf's child and he spends most of his free time talkin or texting his exwife, she constantly complains yet she stays with him...........What's the deal?
The nicest guy in the world could be staring them right in the face and yet they stay with the ******. I just don't get it???/

There are many explanations as to why this happens. Before I get into that I will also say that it is not ALL women who are like this but it seems that too many are. One reason for this is because nice guys have a tendency to not make themselves known as well as jerks. Jerks are more forthcoming usually with their interest in a woman so women therefore have more opportunities to be with jerks. Another reason is because some women are loyal to a fault and stick with their man no matter how bad he treats them. Another thing is women sometimes do is try to put good guys into a friendship sort of role. When you are with a jerk, if the relationship ends, you know who to blame. It in some ways is easier to be with a jerk for some women. When they are with a nice guy they have to deal with the fact that if the relationship ends it might just be their fault.

Jerks and ******* pretend to be nice guys at first, until the woman has fallen for him. Often they first treat the woman even *nicer* on a first date and courtship period than a typical guy does, such as Scott Peterson did with Laci. After the woman is hooked, they show their true colors. If they showed their true colors on the first date, no woman would date them.
The women who stay with these guys often:
A. Think the guy will change back to being a nice guy
B. Are economically stuck in the relationship
C. Have low self esteem (often worn down by their abuser).
It's difficult to leave a guy when one is pregnant. The woman you're speaking of is likely B. And should could be A and C as well. I can guarantee if he was texting his ex wife on his first date and talking to her on the cell phone, there wouldn't have been a second date!
But your premise is incorrect. Women are NOT attracted to jerks and *******. We are attracted to nice guys and nasty guys who PRETEND to be nice guys. Some of the women who end up with nasty guys stay too long for the reasons stated above.

I've never been able to understand it either. But I think there's two factors. There's definitely a tendency to repeat their childhood in some women. So if they had an abusive childhood, they'll more likely latch on to abusive men. Also, every woman has some conviction that she can change a man. So they figure they can fix the bad stuff and keep the good stuff.

OK, quick fact: Not ALL women are like that. And for those who are, i believe it's the whole "bad boy/ rebel" factor that first attracts them, (and some that are, the worst are the smooth-talkers/ easy moves guys) and that is what also hooks them and makes the stay, because the guy then sweet talks them out of breaking up. Or scare them out of breaking. But, just to let you know and this is not just in movies and fairy tales, the good guys sometimes prevail. So keep your chin up, good guys.

I actually like sweet guys..when i was in high school I dated alot of men that were "bad boys" but as I got older that changed...I think it has to do with the woman not growing up. After a while, you should get tired of men treating you wrong...You have go through it though to learn from it and I think all females go through that stage atleast once in their life but "staying there" is another story. Not all women like jerks...

I have first hand experience in this. I think its because women are attracted to guys with self confidence and who are assertive. I think many times in my life I confused asshole, arrogant jerk with someone I thought was just extremely confident. That only lasts for a short period though. From personal experience, I would get angry when I was ready for the jerky guy to be nicer and more loving. It usually doesn't happen and I would get frustrated when he wouldn't change.
Look at it this way, if it weren't for the jerky aholes, women wouldn't eventually appreciate guys like yourself.

I'd like that same question answered but switched around to why do some guys stick with a girl who treats them like crap when they have a girl who would do anything for them. Im just as clueless as you. I used to be attracted to the bad boys when I was a teenager. I guess I liked their attitude and like many are saying, they are confident and fun when the fact that they are lying cheating ******* isn't showing. Bleh to bad guys and girls who cheat and hurt people who love them...>=(

Actually, not that many women like jerks, but it's because they're confident and aggressive. Most women don't like men who don't approach them because they're shy. It's shows no confidence. But...after a few *******, most girls realize the jerks aren't worth it and fall for the amazing ones, which I'm guessing is like you. Just hang tough bro, she'll see you eventually. :)

Women think they can change them. A girl that i grew up with is married to a jerk. He treats her like crap. I am friends with her mother and she wishes that her daughter would leave him. She also has a child with him. Women think that they can change a jerk so they put the effort in.

Nobody knows. I'm not really nerdy but I'm.. a different kind of guy? I don't do drugs, smoke, drink and would NEVER take a girl for granted. I ride horses and I'm a soft guy. I can't fight for sh*t.. I stood up for my best friend once and got a black eye. After high school years (I'm still in high school) they will just get their heart broken and think "Why didn't I go for that guy with good grades and the looks instead of the dumb a** I chose!" Don't worry. You will have the ladies all over you when you graduate high school/college and those jerks are still repeating grade 10. Good luck with life and stay away from drugs/alcohol! It will pay off in the long run!
