blktan, why would I go to jail you moron..I'm a 21 yr old female married to a army soldier currently in Iraq....I want to help kids against the sick perverted people on the internet like you..

Probably the best way to go about this is to sit down and talk with a police detective and his supervisor. Some departments want only sworn personnel involved in their investigations, and others may employ persons who are not members of their department. There may also be laws in your state that would prevent a private citizen from doing that. It would be best to talk to them and offer your assistance, the worst they could do is say "no", and explain why.

Go to college. Get a degree. Become a cop. Easy stuff. I would suggest a lot of IT classes. Law enforcement always need people that are internet savvy. That's how they entrap..er...arrest most of thier cases.
Of course...you really aren't helping the problem. You are just cleaning up the mess. Possibly you would want to consider how to change society so that we didn't have pedophiles. Look into the chain of events that cause pedophiles, and work to change those things, and you can help stop this problem BEFORE it starts.

Contact you local Police Department and See What
guidelines they have for the job.If not there then try
the State or Federal Levels because I Think they
have programs too.
