Which concept of original sin?
The Augustinian concept that people are born guilty of Adam's sin?
OR the Biblical concept that people are born innocent, but with a sinful nature which tempts them to sin, guilt being incurred when one acts upon that nature?

Islam says all are born without “original sin”. Why do other faiths say they are born evil ?
Islam does not believe that mankind is born inheritantly evil and with a burden of some original sin.
In fact Islam says every child is born totally sinless and pure and if they were to die at any early age they would go to paradise without any accountability.
In Islam there is no concept of punishing a child for the sins of the father and there is no concept of lawful procreation(sex) being a dirty or sinful act.
Islam does not believe we are predisposed to commit sin and being imperfect creations, we are not predisoposed to absolute goodness either. On the contrary Islam says we have choice to obey or disobey God. The choice is ours either way equally. To predispose us to lean to one side would not be true freedom of choice or free will.
Islam believes that all disobedience is bad – Pride, lying, cheating etc. but mankind is not guilty until proven innocent. In Islam all are innocent until proven guilty. We are not born guilty of crimes but when we do commit crimes then there is forgiveness through repentance.
The way to atone for the sins is through sincere repentance to God directly without any priest or intercessor. God is the one who loves to forgive the sins of those who cry in repentance…..with broken hearts. This shows our humility and recognition of the Sovereignty of the Lord.
God is the one who gives strength to mankind to obey his laws and come closer to him. The only thing we need is the sincere heart felt desire and intention.
Accountability is started at the age of puberty – when children start to distinguish between right and wrong and can make choices.
Islam says that God created us and blew his spriit into our souls. If no evil were to tempt a man then he would perfectly recognize who the Lord is and submit in total obedience just as we will the second after we pass away.
Islam is therefore the effort to protect the heart and cultivate the goodness which is in every heart.
The heart is protected from outside corruption by obeying the Laws of God in every sphere of life - 24 hours a day (hadith and sunnah) and by bringing the correct understanding of the oneness of God and perfect Monotheism (as detailed in the Quran).

unique sin is a nature. that's a sin nature that's surpassed on , apparently contained in direction of the father. that's why Jesus had to be born of a virgin. This verse(Ezekial 18:20) is speaking approximately particular sins. you're no longer likely to be held in charge on your fathers sins despite the fact that we are certainly effected by our fathers sins( as in 'crack babies'). Ezekial 18:20 has no longer something to do with unique sin. Adam had in him the capacity for a sin nature yet that skill could in user-friendly terms substitute into certainly if Adam sinned. you assert that's not user-friendly. The bible would not let us know why that's so. If it would not say why then something I say could be ineffective hypothesis. Somethings purely are, whether you think of they're user-friendly or no longer. that's not user-friendly that a crack toddler could be born addicted to crack purely using fact that's father substitute right into a crack addict. that's purely the way the international is. yet God has given us a thank you to ultimately be freed from that sin nature. purely turn your existence over to Christ and ask Him into your heart and finally once you bypass on you will get carry of a ressurrection physique that's and not applying a sin nature. as far as babies being baptized, nowhere interior the bible does it say to baptize babies. Baptism is a outward sign which you have asked Christ into your existence. in user-friendly terms somebody who has reached the age of accountability can do this. Baptizing babies is what I call ritual without actuality.

Yes. I believe we were all born animals, and therefore inclined to follow instinct.
I believe that the forebrain made us aware of ourselves in ways that gave rise to morals, and that we have attempted to control nature rather than be controlled.
We are not yet mature enough, in our relatively newfound knowledge, to accept life as it is, rather than making it more complicated.
So we have computers and so many technologies that we rely on, even others to farm our very sustenance, without which we would starve, be cut off from fellow humanity, and have countless other unimaginable things happen to us if only we hadn't bothered with technology in the first place.
The Tree of Knowledge really is the exit from Paradise.
Ignorance is Bliss.
I think that's what the elders saw.
Eve?
Lilith?
Adam?
Who cares.
It was the First Parable.

Yes.
Adam was our federal representive for us. He sinned therefore we sinned. Of course we would argue "why do we have to be responsible for his sin?" But because Adam was already made perfect by God. He knew God and enjoyed every blessings in the Garden of Eden. Yet he chose to disobey. But through Christ, the effects of disobedience are reversed for believers.
Hope this helps

Cheese,
I do not remember such a thing being mentioned IN the SCRIPTURES, thus I do not Believe in "original sin". A child can not be forgiven of sin until he/she understands what it is. Children were never baptized from what I have found (examples) in the BIBLE. Can you find such an example for me?? Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

Death is the proof for original sin ... as death is the penalty for sin ... and as even pre-born infants are subject to death ... than they must already be in some way affected by sin.
