i see this phrase alot, on shirts.. on myspace.. etc, but what does it actually mean??

in the begining no one really knew what it meant untill they interviewed Hurricane Chris.
he said that he used to go to this club with a dj named BAY BAY and he was really good. everyone at the club would yell A BAY BAY!! and then he made his song which is really good. :)

There's a club somewhere with a DJ called DJ Bay Bay. So when the people go to the club, they (yell)holl'in "A(Hey) Bay Bay, let it play, that's my song(I deeply appreciate that rhythm), turn it up."
Basically, they're saying keep this song on DJ, we like it. That's where it came from. It can mean Hey Baby, but that's tacky in the real world. D:

except i think they have sum sort of list or speech problem..like they cant pronounce the h in hey, or they cant say baby.....
